How to stop someone from drink driving?

Short story , when i want to go to town with my mates someone usually drives, im not that fussed if i drive cos i wont drink, but a few others usually have one two maybe three pints when theyre out then drive home so now i just dont get in a car with them . Then when its my turn to drive they get a bit arsey saying well i dont get in a car with you then try to explain its alright to be over the limit 
. Now the same lad went out and got absolutely f
ked then drove home , after me having an arguement first saying how he should drive but then ignored all and went home, so really what other way is there to stop him before it stops him?
The lad is a fking joke to start with, doesnt take alot seriously, cheapskate 100% of the time n not alot of care for things, so really should i help him or just let him carry on until he takes his life and maybe someone elses?
