Ok - so yesterday I head into London Congestion Tax Zone......however, its after 18:00 - where it is free......

It was however CLOSE to 18:00 according to my watch.......around 18:05 I made it.

Anyway - being a good citizen, and not trusting the scum system I went online to check if I owe anything.....

imagine my suprise when it can't tell me. All it can do is take my payment, 8 quid for today, 10 quid for tomorrow.......but it doesn't say whether I owe it or not.

SO i ring the bds up.........and speak to a nice man.......(after listening to some crap unhelpful IVR).......and he CAN'T tell me either!!

My options according to him are pay it - 10 quid, which is NOT refundable....on the off chance.

OR wait 3 days - where I will be notified of my 120 quid fine...........so they can tell me then.

fking thieving bds

that is all.

Why didn't you switch on your wireless and see whether the six o'clock news had started? If it plays news, you're OK; if they are still on the weather forecast, it's not quite six. That's what I do with the bus lanes round here: they cease to operate as bus lanes after 7pm, so if the Archers have started it is legal to use them.

ha - Manchester is fast becoming an option.

It just stinks of incompetance and arrogance.

Not that i'm suprised..........twats.

IF i get the fine I'm make a fuss - but utimately end up paying as London is now a Nazi state.

The only good thing is the Legend that is Boris. Lets hope he can get rid of the corruption here.

I travel to London quite a lot, in the Chelsea area, so it would be great if Boris scrapped that part of the indigestion zone.

Yes, democracy in action. I wonder how the government will circumvent that, as they have done with the Heathrow runway.
