The Police Officer involved should be publically named and shamed and disciplined.

Utter idiot.

..."It became a bit ridiculous when he wanted to know the colour of my hair as I have alopecia and there isn't a hair on my head.

"When I pointed this out he asked: 'What colour was your hair when you had some?'

Surely he would have gotten the officer's name and number (whatever it's called) on the producer he was given, so could have made a formal complaint?
Also: "I was driving very safely in the Birkenhead Tunnel and took a call." I want to know what mobile network he's on!

Why is the picture in the article of a foreign car in a foreign country?

The trouble is, if the motorist had taken the officer's number and made a complaint against him, it would be only the start of police harassment rather than the end of it. frown

Yeah fking police!! Oh hold on. It wasn't the police. It was the Mersey tunnel 'police' who aren't really police officers but private security.

Sod it. Never let facts get in the way of rants about the police.

How is Joe Public supposed to know this? I read the article earlier this morning and had a laugh about it. Where in the article does it state what you claim? It refers to police, not private secrity.

By not taking articles at face value like the enraged Daily Mail readers always do. So often the actual facts make things very different.

Or by seeing that it involves the Mersey Tunnels Police.

"Supt Kevin Hagger, of the Mersey Tunnels Police, said: "I wouldn't want to make a comment as I don't know the full details."

Is the only hint that it is not the 'real Police', but then if they weren't the 'real police' how come they had the ability to issue an HORT1?

Yeah. Let's get into another dig at the police thread even when it's not them involved.

The group mentality of some is not much different in these threads than that of the groups of idiots who go after pediatricians as they fail to comprehend the difference or to read beyond a few words.

As I said never let actual facts get in the way of a good chance to drag up some anti police rantings.
