408 cops "caught" in bus lanes in Birmingham
Discussion
Around 300 of the 408 cops caught using bus lanes in Birmingham have been handed fines of £60 and have had to pay them out of their own pockets. The rest were deemed to be on 999 calls. West Midland Asst. Chief Constable Garry Forsyth said "officers not exempt must abide by the same rules as citizens".
Quite right too Garry and nice to see!
The ten cameras and signs introduced in September have raised £1.7 million in 3 months for the council. Probably for more cameras and signs!

Not really nice though is it, a quick giggle at the rozzers ?
Bus lanes should just not exist, why should people using subsidised transport get priority over those of us paying the effing subsidy for them ?
I'm not having "a quick giggle at the rozzers"?!?. All too often it pops up on here that the Police have far too many exemptions and/or get away with doing things that the rest of us don't. So its nice to see, that for a change, they're not always exempt and don't always "get away" with it.Bus lanes should just not exist, why should people using subsidised transport get priority over those of us paying the effing subsidy for them ?
The argument whether bus lanes should exist or not is an argument for another sub forum!
