A "friend in the pub" insists that VOSA have no power to stop you on the road. He says if they pull in front with the "Follow me" sign on you should ignore it.

What do you reckon?

Earlier in the week I passed a van being looked over by a couple of VOSA inspectors on a small residential side road. Wasn't part of a police/DoT/VOSA check-point, just one VOSA Galaxy type thing. If they now searching for vehicles and pulling them at the road side, will they just be checking for road worthiness or will they be able to check MOT/insurance details?
Dunno but they're red hot on cars with trailers ATM. Watch your train weight!
