crazy about cars said: why dont you lock your front door..... Well tbh they were in the house at the time so probably assumed burglars weren't that stupid. Really is a s t time in the countries history if you have to lock yourselves in your own house to prevent burglaries.

When I was selling my house a few years ago the estate agent said viewers thought it was weird I locked the front door after letting them in and told me not to do it. I still lock the front door when I'm home and there's 2 landsharks between the back door and the car keys.

Two "daft" questions from me (but in my line of work I never assume anything): - Has the aggravated burglary/robbery been reported to the local Police?
- If so, do the Police have the video?
I hope the victim and family are ok.

I liked the initial parking outside, and the consideration shown to the car and gate post in the getaway.
I wonder whether the car was stolen to specification ... from the initial stop and reverse.

Hard to tell but it looked like they forced the inside door, if you look closely it looks like the lock mechanism is broken afterwards. It doesn't seem like that door is deadlocked or anything either.
But yeah, like others my front door doesn't open from the outside without the key, and I don't quite understand why anyone would leave their front door unlocked (if that is the case) even if they're in, especially if you live right on the road.

Whereabouts in Manchester? Weird how they have CCTV in the doorway as well as outside.

That's pretty high-risk from the burglars and quite unusual. On the plus side I would have thought they would get an ID from that CCTV. Aggravated burglary will get some decent time inside.

The camera outside is visible (that's why you see the scrotes covering up hiding their faces when approaching the house)...inside the front porch however ....they (the bad guys) don't often expect another camera and can sometimes be identified as their guard drops...

I hope the victim and family are ok. Surely they must have reported?, I mean who wouldn't? At least the owners where ok, not hurt.

How many normal households do you know that have one nevermind two cctv's?!! It must be a tasty area and/or the poor homeowner has had a few burglaries previously?

At least the owner did the sensible thing, and got them out of the house in the quickest easiest way possible. You can replace a car, but not your family. Hopefully the video is more then enough for the police to identify the scum (didn't exactly look like an opportunistic thief, I'd be surprised if they are not already well known to the police) and lock them up for a good long time

If the courts don't prescribe that then sterilisation would be next on the list.
