Am I right in thinking I can tow the lazy socialist who has parked in front of my garage, on private property, without my permission, out of the way of my garage ? Assuming I do no damage to the car ?

I'm assuming that asking said 'lazy socialist' to move is out of the question?

Would you still want to tow the vehicle if the parker votes Lib-Dem, Tory, UKIP, BNP or MRLP? - Streaky

Ram it! Then claim of the Fiesta's insurance for damage to your car. Fiesta drivers fault for parking there. Fiesta drivers liability.

Please . . . if I knew who it was I would speak to them in person but I don't, the car is there only occasionally. Have spoken to police and they can't do anything because it's private property, not the public road.

Have left a note and will apply to DVLA for keepers details . . .

As for lazy socialist . . . well, why not smile Who parts in front of somebody else's garage . . . nobody who has any respect for others.

If the car's not parked in gear raise the rear end with a trolly jack and push it down the road, dog poo door handles, kipper in the vents, Areosol go faster stripe, nitromors a smiley face on the bonnet......etc....

If you look on here there are some posts about dodgy car parking companies. Take a leaf out of their book and levy a parking ticket of National Debt proportions on their windscreen, complete with all of their usual threats of sending the boys round to collect the money if they don't pay up.

If that fails, get the local chavs to come and nick it.

Buy a big sturdy clamp and charge him £200 to remove it. It's your land so you can do what you like. If it needs moving then get the local farmer to tow it away with his tractor....real pity if it got damaged...
of course i'm not a solicitor, but that's what I'd be tempted to do

If it's owned by a police officer then you'd be in trouble for damaging it.

You need a big sign and an S.I.A Immobilisation of Vehicles licence (£284). If you are caught clamping a car without one it's a £1000 fine (that's my job). Also you need to have the permision of the local council as you do not own the public street and the fines have now been capped. smile

A really good one is to put a "Fire Hydrant" sign or a GRP post on the adjacent wall and call the local council to put a ticket on a car that's parked over a Hydrant down your street. Peoples lives could be put at risk! Then remove the hydrant sign after the ticket has been issued.

I had to do this once, my housemate late for work, my car in bits, his in the garage (we flipped a coin as to who would get to use it. He won.). We cut the handbrake cables, pushed it out of the way, left it leaning on a wall at the end of the car park.
It was gone at the end of the day, never heard anything about it, or saw the car again.
