I'm going to be out of action for a while
Discussion
I wasn't going to mention this but there are a few rumours going around and, believe it or not, many of you guys on this forum are amongst my closest friends (I don't have many) so I hope no-one minds me posting a personal topic.
I went for an angiogram two weeks ago to check all is well with the Ticker following my problems last year. Gutted to find out I need a triple by-pass and I'm going to London tommorrow for the operation on Thursday.
So you will have to do without my input for a few days but I'm told by the Docs that I will be even fitter on my return, so watch out.
Can't drive the Vette for a while so would any volunteers please form an orderly queue outside my garage.

Hi Guys. I'm back home now - pretty beat up and bloody sore, but 4-6 weeks should see me out and about.
Thanks to you all for your kind comments which were reaching me via Cliff and my wife, Jeannie.
Special thanks to Cliff who drove us to/from the hospital - thanks mate.
Your "suggestions" regarding performance enhancements reached me too late I'm afraid. The surgeon put in new headers with the emphasis on restoring flow and long term reliablity.

Glad to hear you are all better now, my old mate.At least you managed to put things off until the weather turned. It was p***ing down at Brands yesterday.
Hi Steve - thanks mate. I was making progress until yesterday when I was diagnosed with a Deep Vein Thrombosis - sod it. But hey, "there's always someone worse off than you" but I'm buggered if I can find him.
Glad it rained at Brands - now that has cheered me up.

Have they put you on drugs to dissolve the clot?
Pissed off from Bournemouth here........
The clot should dissolve itself but I am on injections etc to thin the blood to stop another one. The bad news is that the injections are only administered into your gut. They bloody hurt.
