I don't know if this is old news (first i have heard of it!) but on Caterham's website it is advertising a new R500!

I can't wait to hear more! Is it wrong to find a car mildly arousing?

There's some debate about whether its viral or a genuine 'spy' video, but the nearly-illegible label on the engine says

R501 Validation - 8300 (rpm?) MAX
then loads of numbers (serial number?) and 265

265bhp maybe?

Wasn't the R500 Evo (that's the 2nd quickest car on the Evo circuit) 'only' 250bhp?

Wow, that is possibly the worst bit of camera work i have ever heard - clearly trying to be subtle with the camera!

The car in the video sounds great at the end. This is all getting exciting - i can see a re mortgage coming on!

The Youtube video is NOT a viral. That car was a development hack and is no longer in existance.

All the things I have heard make this car sound truelly special - I'm definately going to go for one.
More powerful than the last R500 and I am sure easier onthe ungine rebuilds from all accounts of tuned Duratecs.
I can't wait to see more.
