sorry dont understand the edit comment, why wouldn't you start with a blank canvas rahter than something that has been fckd around with?
I quoted you before you re-edited your post. The changes he made to the chassis are actually very good but I'll explain my plans in detail to you if we ever meet. There's too many dependencies for me to be sure I can actually do what I want at the moment. If all goes well, by the end of the year I should be a position where most of thoe dependencies will have been realised... i.e. I will have been able to afford to engage people I need.
James My guess is you would only buy an old crashed chassis to use the V5 identity on a fully repaired or perhaps even a new build chassis to try and avoid the faff and costs of the SVA/IVA and to have future mots as visible smoke only so free from emissions worries and cats etc plus I guess you can race without a cat.
Obviously you might get in hot water with the DVLA if you bend the rules but the previous owner can give chapter and verse on this.
Hope the DVLA aren't reading this.

Why ?Hope the DVLA aren't reading this.
A repaired chassis with the same number is still the same chassis, it doesn't matter how much you repair
Incorrigible
I did say might and I did refer to a new chassis in place of a new one.
I am sympathetic, after all what are a few tubes here and there. Half a new chassis courtesy of a long front from bruce is not unexpected for a few academy cars each year. Are they different cars afterwards? . In my view no but look at the ditrct gov web site under motoring and registering a radically altered vehicle or kit car. I would post a link but on my wifes apple and cant even copy and paste.
I have read on t interweb that the previous owner of car in very similar colours but perhaps a different car altogether to the one shown in flouro red and green with a bloody great zip up t middle had fun and games with dvla even before it was crashed but who knows.
If it was me I wouldn't put anything on the web and just rebuild it with a long front and a long back! but not my concern.
More pictures anyone?

Looking through the paper work, from the factory its down as just blue, but the spec colour when sold by an agent for the firt owner states cobalt blue. I had to do a touch up on a section of wing (which was later 95% covered by a full wrap CF stone chip wing protector that has been clearcoated for extra UV & stone chip protection) and I remember looking at viper blue and cobalt blue. In the end I took a mix of the two colours to get the match and I was pleased with the result. Some more shots from last year.
Buenas tardes! Not done much lately, I've been in Barcelona, having the antifouling done on my Boss's boat, for the coming season. I just popped back to Mallorca for the weekend, to keep the builders going on my house project.
I ended up sanding the nose cone back again, as I wasn't happy with some tooling marks that where visible once it was polished.
Here's a bad picture taken with my phone.
