Supersport 140? Nothing to worry about really as long as it runs OK when warm. Should be a simple idle adjustment (1/4 turn on the throttle body?) as mentioned above if it bothers you.
After having it for two days Caterham have now only come back (after saying that they don't recall any stalling problems) and stated that ALL supersports will not idle well when cold. Advice is to keep the revs up and heel and toe when slowing for roundabouts until warm.

Sounds like a bit of a cop out to me, but what alternative do I have? It's not a major annoyance but I can't help but feel that it's not right.

in talking to a few to fix removed the lightened flywheel which kinda defeats point smile Its not that bad when you get used to it.

@kalibre46 - how is the cold idling since you got the car back?

Resurrecting purely to share a laugh and to remind myself how useful PH is.

Just about to take delivery of a 310R but the existing owner mentioned some idling issues. Did some googling, then stumbled across this thread. Read it intently then got to the end only to remember that it was my original thread from 9 years ago when I had my original supersport!

Useful to have it on the record, but worrying that maybe my memory isn't what it once was! hehe

How did you fix the idling issue - or did you just live with it?

Ironically I can't remember, although I vaguely recall having some dodgy sparkplugs that were causing problem.

I recently did some work work on mine and fitted a larger throttle body so had to fit a different make of TPS. Set tos voltage and mine now ticks over better than it ever has. I can start it on the button and it just sits there ticking over.
