A couple of people above have mentioned the recent article in Circuit driver where they test an R300 against the competition. (Link to the back copy here.)

IIRC Dax and Westfield acquitted themselves well, but I wasn't disappointed I have a Caterham

Many thanks for the link, Ive purchased the mag and await a good read!
However if the others even put up a 'good fight', the fact they came even close proves the extra 20ish grand (twice the cost of mine, with a new v8) caterham cant be that good value?.....

When you read the relative costs of the cars, you do seem to get a very good approximation of what you pay for

I should have said, you're welcome to a a read of my copy. The mag is most usefull if youre circuit driving that month as it's got a listing of all the track and test days. Back copies probably not that good value

Handles better than most other things ive driven, and has a little more than 260 bhp :-) ......!

Mine was less than £20k too, and came with a 8 race championship
