There are now two 7s outside of the Lloyd's building in Lime Street. One is a race car, the other is a superlight of some variety but from my office I can't tell if it's the new R500. I'm going to the event with Ali Ansar at 12:45 where I believe the car is to be officially launched.

That was just a test page on the CC website with a completely made up spec found by somebody with too much time on their hands.....

What's the final spec?

I didn't want to say anything incase I got barred from future Lloyds Motor Club events! Does Simon or Ali read PH? Wonder if there were any other PH'ers present....

Instrumentation on the yellow R500 displayed was white with an analogue and digital display.

At least one other - still pondering doing the Academy next year. Presentation was excellent - I fear my bank balance might be taking a turn for the worse ...

Ummm, just in case he does read PH you might want to get his name right: Mr. Ansar Ali wink

Is the Academy really such great value though - it's only 3 "speed events" and 4 races....I guess it may be attractive from the POV of Caterham holding your hand....but if you can get over that hump, you may find better VFM series out there...

The car's £37,000 BTW - pretty keenly priced but NOT more than the original R500.

Lots more info on the thread on www.blatchat.com

I can't belive it , I work across the road from the Lloyds Building and missed this today. Ahh being stuck on planes most of the days feels even worse now. New car looks goo, interesting to see what more info comes out.
