Caterham Academy Registration

My Mrs will let me join in 2012 - woohoo!!! Anybody know when I need to commit to buy and register, so that I can enter the 2012 Academy series? Sounds like it should be great fun from the articles I've read on here!

Hi Jean-Paul, you may be able to put your name down now but I would wait until some time in 2011 to place your order. Deposit to secure a place for 2010 was £2,000 this year.

It's quite a way ahead so who knows how quickly places will sell for 2012 - they sold the last places in late November/December 2009 for the 2010 season I believe.

Yes, I'm in this year's Academy.

It will definitely be an experience - I don't imagine that I'll be in the fight for the podium though!

You never know - do you think you go on and do more racing?

I'd be very interested to hear your views of how you're enjoying the sessions. I'm really looking forward to doing a season. How does a typical race weekend pan out? Have they told you yet?

Speak to Nick Potter at Caterham Midlands - They handle the Academy, a better place to start than the Cat South IMO as you will end up needing them far more!

Academy is a great way to start with many moving on up thru the Caterham ladder.

If you are desperate to get involved for 2010 have a word with Nick as you normally find one or two competitors pulling out during the season for one reason or another.
