Rear wings painted with carbon wing protectors, front wings bare carbon, nosecone painted but with bare carbon nose band.
I've also got the carbon/ kevlar composite seats, magnesium wheels and carbon interchangable aeroscreen with carbon mirrors.

On Caterhams the bodyworks does come attached as it's rivited to the chassis before painting etc, but the nose, front and rear wings are not fixed yet.

I've not got an online build diary as I don't have a web site, but I am taking a ridiculous number of photos so I can later!!

Rear suspension is now complete, brakes and handbrake done, so I'm now building up the dry sump bell housing tank.

It's an R400, but both the R300 and R400 come with roller throttle bodies now.

It's basicaly complete now and I can't believe how well it runs and ticks over. I was expecting a bit of tempremental lumpiness but it's all very civilised.
Just a few bits of trim to sort, sidescreens, boot cover and then it's done!

It's driven up and down the drive, several times, and appears to work, so, the future is bright, the future is very orange!

Caterham reckon on about 70 hours, and I think they're about right.
Maybe a bit less as it's the third one I've built, my previous one and a friends one.

Anyway, SVA booked for the 24th so done in plenty of time.
Caterham are picking it up on the 20th to take it, post build inspect it and get it SVA'd and registered for me, and bringing it back with number plates & tax disc on.

And I can't wait!!!

And then that nasty catalyst can go and be replaced by a nice shiny piece of pipe!

Thanks, took a look at your site, nice.

Now tell me, how do those Comma girls get into those catsuits....or more importantly how do you get them out of them!

Sorry!!!!

Basicly complete now as you can see.....
Caterham are collecting it on Monday for PBC and preping it for the SVA on Friday.
So with any luck I should be in it by next weekend

And just for interest, here we are changing my mates exhaust from a standard to a VHPD 4 into 1, which involved a rather nervious time cutting large holes in the aluminium skin!!! All completed without resorting to Isopon in the end!

As you can tell, we both believe in being seen on the road.

Blimey you've got good eyesight!!

That's no toy, that's my day to day car. I go to work in it every day.
No point in having them and leaving them in the garage, it's a car and it's there to be driven!!

Got the Caterham back from SVA and registration now and on the road

All I can say is WOW!

It's awesomely rapid, very stiff, doesn't like pootling in town and is clearly desparate to get on track.

I may be able to help it out there......
