Impressed with Tortworth. Check-in was a bind (how long?!?), but other than that, it's spot on.

Tailgate was resting on it's springs, leaving about a 2 inch gap across the back!

Personally I would stay there until they ask us not to return.

See, what you need to do is get there a day earlier, then you can join us for the Sat Lunch thang smile

If you checked in around 3:45-4, I think it was just a case of lots of people turning up at once. I got there just before that and there was one couple at the desk. 5 minutes later when I turned around to pick up my bags and head to the room, there was suddenly about 8 couples queuing up.

My point was, that it was peak time and there were only two of them on the desk.

Check in/out did take a while, but I was trying to do it at peak hours so I expected a bit of a queue.

Personally, I think its the best venue we've had and so I'd be happy to return. Can't say what the leisure facilities were like as I didn't try them, but they always used to be pretty good..

+1 from me for next year biggrin

We liked the venue a lot. Admittedly we might be biased as we only live 30 minutes up the M5, but the staff and the whole feel of the place were spot-on. I was talking to a few other first time BTaPers and they all agreed.

oh adding to the above, did anyone use the spa? I meandered in and came across a bunch of sizable ladies in dressing gowns who smiled at me. I'm not proud of the fact that I may possibly have let out a yelp of fear. smile

It wasn't me! My arse may have been the biggest there, but I didn't use the Spa!
