I test drove a VX220 NA today, and would like to test drive a VXT but can't find a dealer locally that has one in stock. I live in Northampton, and if you know of dealership who has one i'd really like to know......

I've been looking at Elise's for a while, and thought I ought to test drive a VX for comparison and really liked it. It will be a daily drive in replacement of a MINI Cooper S. I also have a girly question about the boot...(sorry!boxedin) The Elise boot continues into the wings at the side, but the VX doesn't seem to do this - can this space be accessed for storage?

Thanks for you help

The VX boot goes all the way out to the sides and extends to the back of the car as well, the problem is just the aperture for getting things in is a bit small.

Have you tried looking on the NetworkQ site to see if there are any locally?

Stick a post on www.vx220.org.uk and there will be a member near you willing to take you out I'm sure,

Its a great VX community with all the advise and help you'll ever need,

If possible try a Stage 2 VXT to really feel the difference, but which ever you try make sure its got a few 1000 miles on the clock as they need to loosen up first,

You could also try www.type116.com the other VX220 forum, both fine places to get info from.

Good Choice, you won't regret it, are you having any other work done yet?

Just emptied out all the junk from my Mini and hoovered it out (My other half will have a heart attack!!) ready for part X price for the VXR tomorrow. I've also booked in a test drive of a new VXT which is just over £19k which seems a pretty good price. Has any-one else seen a new / pre-registered VXT any cheaper?

I'd worry about these 'new' VXT's as we all know they have not built one for nearly a year so any you buy has been sitting arround for a long time...

Fot the money I'd buy a well loved VXT with stage 2 TMS / Courtney from here or if funds allow definatly a VXR

Better a well looked after used car with the mods done than one thats sat in a field with 100 miles on it for me!

Test drove the VXR and VXT on Saturday, and totally fell in love with the VXT (In Black) and so after that and the negotiations between my other half and the dealer (I was rubbish as I realllyyyy wanted the car!) We will be picking up the new VXT on Friday. Wahoo!bounce

I'm not too concerned about buying a 'new' one as it still has nearly 3 years of warranty on it.

Is it really only Monday ?!

Well done Clair, look forward to seeing the new toy next time you're down in this neck of the woods.

great choice..

id recommend a stage 2..

the exhaust makes the car sound how it should do and the performance increase makes it go like it should do.

not just the extra power but the mid range driveability of the car.

You'll love the VX!

You'll just love it more with a full Milltek and Stage 2 mapping ;-)

* reaches for CC to see if he can afford Stage 3... *

Thanks Rob, might take it next weekend to the Goodwood Skid Pan day.driving

I think we're going to run it in a bit first (Which, to be honest won't take long as we've already done over 800 miles in a week, and we have lots of events planned this year), and then start off with a stage I, and then take it from there.

Absolutely loving the car - it's great fun cool
