So who has ordered the new S550 Mustang?

Ordered 2 days ago.
V8 Auto, Fastback, Absolute Black, Ceramic leather, Custom pack. I was informed that I am No. 7 on the list, and total UK allocation is 500 cars. Expecting my car by November 15.

thanks for the yellow support! it does benefit from being broken up a little with the black I'll be looking at doing that.

so I paid a £2k deposit I've seen people say they left 1 and 1.5 anyone know what's with the difference?

Spoke to my dealer today, going to order one tomorrow, but still can't decide on colour, had a Dakar yellow M3 so love the yellow, but also love Deep Impact Blue, need to decide tonight.

Need to sink a couple more San Miguel's as that will help clear my mind.

I thought that was the initial batch coming to Europe that were advertised during the football.

Personally I'd have thought they'd bring in as many as they can sell.

I think the dealers don't know diddly. Every person that has ordered has been given a different story.

Just emailed Ford US in the vague hope that they will 1. make the Recaro seats an option over here and 2. if they have any idea as to their production/delivery schedule for the UK.

You never know...

Another review. Little revelations (for me) about the different steering modes available and also (disappointingly) the fact that the cooling areas of the seats are restricted to the base only, not the backrest.

there are a few ecoboost orders been made according to posts over at mustang6g, I guess if you'll be doing high mileage you'd have to look at that but from what I've seen there is little difference on MPG when giving it beans (and if your aren't giving it beans buy a focus!).
for me it has to be a V8, I decided I wanted a V8 for my next car before I chose the Mustang but comparing the price on the limited selection the Mustang wins, it helps it has always been a dream car.

looked at C63 AMG an F-type and a Monaro, the Mustang is the winner for me (what did I miss from the list of new V8's?)

Indeed, that was my thinking too, can't see a 300hp 4-pot being much more economical (if any) than a V8 in normal driving.

We saw the prototype that Ford had on their stand at the Earls Court motorshow thing at the Goodwood Revival last year, and my OH was actually the one who wanted to get one. This is someone else's pic:



That's where Ford had my details from, when they sent the pricing email out I semi-jokingly said we should go to the dealer and order one, and having decided the Ecoboost was actually a feasible option we turned up and proceeded to order a V8 after some quick man-maths

It normally takes me days of research to decide which 2 quid USB cable to buy online, I'm not quite sure how a Mustang got ordered so quickly to this day...
