There's one or two convertibles in there. I think Folie's is one (without checking). Those tiny thumbnails make it hard to tell though.

Hi All

I am new to the forum.

I put a deposit down at my Ford dealer back in April last year. I have kept in regular contact since and a couple of weeks ago I took a call from the Ford priority team.
I have order a deep impact V8 Coupe. I should get my car in the same batch as the Champions League winners. Q4

All V8s as well, wonder if that's what Ford were expecting when they made the Ecoboost available here?
I can't remember if I read it somewhere or my dealer mentioned it but the gist was that Ford may be switching their production schedule around as they were expecting to sell more 2.3's than V8's and therefore that's what were going to be built first.

As I said, can't remember where I got that from though, but if PH is representative of the Mustang-buying public, and let's be honest, you'd have to be a petrolhead to buy one of these regardless of what engine you go for, then it looks like it's going to be a VAST majority of V8's.

To me the words, 'Mustang' does not go with anything other than 'V8' biggrin. I'm not surprised that view appears to be pretty common. If I wanted an Ecoboost I'd rather get the Focus RS TBH.

The V6 has always out sold the V8 since the SN95 was launched in 1994.

Strange thing is the only reason I decided to get a Mustang was because I found out they were doing a 2.3 four pot. That's and RHD suddenly made it an option for me.
Right up until I paid the deposit I was getting a 2.3 but when the question was asked I found myself saying V8!

Would be well up for a meet when we all get out cars, there are a few people on the mustang6g.com forum as well. Nice little meet somewhere would be cool

there are a few ecoboost orders been made according to posts over at mustang6g, I guess if you'll be doing high mileage you'd have to look at that but from what I've seen there is little difference on MPG when giving it beans (and if your aren't giving it beans buy a focus!).
for me it has to be a V8, I decided I wanted a V8 for my next car before I chose the Mustang but comparing the price on the limited selection the Mustang wins, it helps it has always been a dream car.

looked at C63 AMG an F-type and a Monaro, the Mustang is the winner for me (what did I miss from the list of new V8's?)
I am going ecoboost - 18k PA

do 7-8k so I think the V8 should be ok, especially if we can keep USA,Russia and OPEC fighting over the price of crude.

Is it really worth it though? With MK2 RS Focus owners reporting mid-20s when driving normally down to single figures when giving it some, is it going to make THAT MUCH difference over the V8?

I realise the Focus is a 2.5, but the Mustang is a much bigger car, only a couple of inches off a MK4 Mondeo estate. I know that because I had to check to make sure it fits in my garage and my estate only JUST manages it!

So with a slightly smaller engine than the Focus, but weighing 132kg more, I'm not sure the savings are going to be all that much when you look at the mpg the V8 is doing.

Plus..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH39wwa27eA#t=1m23...cloud9 VS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8YVxKvKJoA#t=1m17...whistle......why would you?

You need to look at your man-maths more closely! wink

I suppose it depends on where you are driving most of the time. Lately my V8 Mercury has only been used for driving across London. This gets me 12 mpg.

It'll do 26 on a motorway run and staying ahead of most of the traffic.

Do we not get BLIS, can't find it anywhere on any of the price lists the dealer gave me.

I think the more important question is: why are you going so slowly that stuff is creeping into your blind spot? HMMM? wink

I'm not entirely sure what features and options the UK cars will have. Couldn't find out.

Truth is .... I want one regardless.

Let's hope they do come nicely spec'd up.

One of my mates tried to buy one last week but was told unless you've already paid deposit (which I did last year) then anyone ordering now wouldn't receive a car until late 2016! He hasn't bothered.
If he really wants one he needs to try another dealer
I placed my order on Monday..... And the dealer was confident I'd get my car well before Xmas.....
That will be the specific dealer guessing their allocation not Ford country wide - find a bigger dealer. I have filled out the intention to buy form, I have to pay a deposit and confirm the spec in May when the dealers place the orders with ford. The people who ordered when it was announced at the CL final have PIN numbers and will see the cars this year I am told.

Thank you sir beer It does look "awesome"

I have been away on business but been reading the threads etc etc.

I keep asking myself two questions.

1) Colour choice, stick with AB or go Magnetic or Ingot Silver will the AB show the lovely lines of the Stang enough?
2) Should I be buying an M4?

Answer to the last question I think is no I have had a few M cars now and want something different which this car certainly is!

The list is looking good! Well done on sorting that out I can help with white backgrounds and larger images when I get a bit more time.

Cheers
Rob
