It would be a blooming miracle if I got it by the end of the year as Ford shuts down next week. That is about the only info my dealer has given me.

Just irked as plenty of people appear to be getting theirs even though they ordered 6 months later than me.

Annoying, isn't it!

I've no idea when I'm getting mine and UCL aside I was one of the first. Oh well, gives me time to prepare a space for her. I've heard nothing from my dealer. Ever.

I declared interest in the Mustang when it was first ever mentioned via Ford UK. Finally had first contact via an email from a Ford dealer in January 2015, confirmed my order with them immediately. It's a 5.0 V8 Auto. Then 6 months later was told it was due for an October build, then been told it will arrive just after Christmas into the New Year. Now I've heard this week that it will be March 2016. Really disappointed with the delays to be honest. How does my wait of 14 months from initial order compare to others?

Karen has confirmed for me that my car is indeed in Belgium but it will be Jan at least before I see it.

Yeah mate, 14 months sucks and I really can't understand why UCLs and early deposits are not getting their cars whilst others who only ordered in the Summer have them already.

It is the dealership m8, I was the first person in the UK to put 1k down when the S550 was first announced in USA. My dealership assured me all would be OK. Yet they never put the order on until May this year, DOH.

However Karen and others at Ford acknowledged I was the first and did bring my order forward as much as they can, my car is now on the Galveston Highway which left Baltimore this Saturday. Due to XMAS shut down I should get my car middle of January now, happy I am. smile

Maybe your car is on the same vessel, do you a VIN number for your car, is it built yet?

Similar story mate. Whilst I was late to the plate (as I still had my S197), I ordered in April but dealer sat on it and didn't contract with Ford until end of August! They only did it then because I chased for an update (have had zero comms from them). I have since found that 10 orders were placed on the same day - aligning with my suspicion that a pile of waiting list forms (and therefore £1k deposits) had sat on the guys desk and he'd done nothing about it frown

Have had similar assurances from Karen that they will try to bring order forward (initially it was going to be July 2016 eek) but have yet to get a definitive build date.

All very disappointing so far.

I only got my order paperwork at the weekend and then, only because I visited the dealership to see WTF was going on!

Us UK lot have not had much luck with Cotus but try the Ford Etis page and put in your full Vin number and you might see a list of what makes up your car if you are near your build date.

Hi guys.

Bit of an odd question really, but I have about a £6,000 car at the moment (Fiesta ST) which I own outright and about £4,000 of savings. Whats the best way to own one of these beauties? I'd love it if I could buy a second hand one for say £18k-20k, but obviously being a new car that can't happen!

I am a 28 year old contractor earning between £800 and £1,200 per week before tax, without a mortgage.

How do you guys buy your cars?

So many of you getting one!

If your employed with good credit get a PCP and a HP quote (PCP will be cheaper) if your self employed and have good accounts you should be ok, if you have crap accounts maybe not but just ask a dealer for a HP / PCP quote, tell them the deposit you are happy to give and the time scale.
HP = you own it at end of term, PCP means you pay a lump sum to own it at end of term (but you can finance this lump sum also)

Thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it!

I think PCP looks the better option in regards to payments etc, just owing £17k-£18k to own the car after paying such a large amount does seem a bit scary! I suppose I can always do the PCP and then decide if additional finance to keep my Mustang is worth it at that stage !

Hi mate, my car came on the same ship as yours, been in touch with Karen, who has been very helpful, says mine has been custom cleared and fingers crossed will be at my dealers before Xmas shutdown, travelling to Southampton this week, hopefully yours should be with it. Cheers Joe.

Is yours a convertible? Auto V8's seem to be slow to production and convertibles even more so. I'm being told March 2016 production for my March 2015 V8 auto vert order, so 14 months plus overall probably. I've emailed Karen for confirmation and to find out if there are any consistent reasons for delays/batching.

Hope so fella. She told me that mine was getting custom cleared but don't they have to have that company at the docks do a sloppy underseal job first?

Spotted my first rh mustang today coming off the m25 onto the a127! 5.0 in red. Even in the dark the colour looked amazing. It was beautiful. To all who are still waiting, you will not be dissapointed! Hang in there! It stood out a mile and was just lovely!
