Got an email of them saying 2nd week of Jan, they haven't a bloody clue though, I asked for the total price of car, they emailed me back wanting the price they are now, not the price they were when I put a grand deposit down at beginning of Feb, not got a reply back from first thing this morning saying that wasn't correct, is it just me, or do the ford dealers not give a crap !!
You definitely pay the price at the time of ordering, dealer just needs to change the figures. I had the same issue.

This is a copy of an email I received from Karen Batt at Ford when I asked about price at delivery...

"Afternoon Andy

You absolutely pay the price of the vehicle at the point of contract which is when your order was placed.

KR
Karen"

Thanks for that, don't know if they were trying it on or not, not had much feedback off them in 11 months, only info I have had is through the forums .to be fair Karen has been very helpful though.

My dealer tried to charge me the higher price because I had changed my spec after a particular date, saying Ford considered that a new contract, so be aware.

Fair enough if you changed from manual to auto or added a spec that wasn't in the original order....but if it was just a colour change then they're out of order

...but Karen's email is clear in that it says price at point of contract.... Which is when your order was placed...smile

Haven't been contacted yet, although I'm certain my car is sat in the dealers lot. To be fair to them they have 12 cars to PDI, clean, register, contact customers etc - i'd be nervous contacting customers until I'd checked the cars over, but the lack of undate is fairly poor. Lucky I'm not desperate for mine for Christmas, but I'm sure a few of you are. They should call around and at least try and work out an order of priority for customers... Or maybe they know the cars will sell and they'd rather not stress themselves out and get at least some customers their Christmas ponies frown

Saw a convertible today on the road , a black one, sorry but the coupe looks way better, and blimey, those front and rear over hangs are pretty large! The car looked under wheeled.

Mine was on the CSCC Asia and the Autostar (arrival Southampton Sat 19th Dec). I've just been informed by my dealer and confirmed by Karen it's due for delivery tomorrow . The dealer has arranged to have it ready for me to collect on Christmas Eve morning .......fingers crossed .

Have fun

Mattus...... Which dealer are you using. After a huge mix up mine was confirmed on the same boats as you. It arrived at the Liverpool Hub yesterday but speaking to the dealer (Trust Ford WARRINGTON) they state they can't get it to me until 4th or 5th Jan because deliveries stopped today. I find this astounding as there's still 2 working days to Xmas & a few in between New Year and the vehicle is now within their group ............ Not happy with the service at all.......

What a brilliant way to spend Christmas Eve. Unfortunately no news about mine, even though it was on the same crossing and Guildford is barely an hour from Southampton.

Bet you can't wait biggrin

Mattus, very pleased for you! I was wrong in my assumption that my car was already at the dealer - apparently it's scheduled for Boxing Day delivery to them, but deliveries were planned to stop on Tuesday. I wonder if strings are being pulled to get as many as they can out over Xmas, but that won't be all of them.

28/1/15 - another V8 rag top in black arrived at same dealer from a MAY order last week!
26/01/15 here, and also now expecting a Mar/Apr delivery next year (V8 manual coupe). Not happy to say the least, only consolation is it appears there are quite a few of us in the same position...

I wanted to have one of the first Mustangs if its 1 month or 3 months late its not one of the first Mustangs as such I have said to Andy and Trust its not acceptable that this business transaction has been so badly handled - I expect free servicing, free stripes or something if nothing is forthcoming I will cancel as the waiting list by March / April will be only a few months and I will get one for summer.
Possibly I could wait for the 2017 model year revision ? that would mean missing this summer however.

What do we think the model revision will be though? Same car just more options? The changes are normally insignificant

I agree normally but from the chat with the Europe product guy at Goodwood I got the impression the Euro spec for the UK had to be compromised quickly and (I think) they have sold more than expected and may put a little more effort into the DRLs and other minor bits - but if they called now and said come and give us £45k of Oracles money I would be there like a shot.

Normally it's about 5 years before a facelift so I don't see it happening till 2020ish, is it a confirmed change in 2017? It's quite irritating as I want my car but don't want to be hit hard on price 2 years down the line after bought the car outright and want a new model, hmmmm, it's difficult, and with all this shipping malarkey if there was a set date for a new model could you order a year in advance ;D

No no new model this is it - I meant the UK changes were rushed and they may re-engineer how the DRLs work etc very minor stuff but things us PHers love.

I feel your pain DS, however, Ford won't care - these cars will sell. Also, if you cancel now with the intention of buying a 2017 who knows how much the price will have gone up by then - its already more expensive if you buy now rather than when we ordered.

I also doubt we'll get any free stuff. I'm still hanging in there because of the car and I haven't found anything else that comes close for the money but it is very disappointing service.

Come on Andy, take control and get some communications flowing!

The small increase price doesnt really matter as I am buying on a PCP and the % interest over the period for £1k is negligible. However if nothing is forthcoming I will play the waiting game - tbh after seeing the coupe I was slightly regretting ordering the rag top, the 3/4 haunches are lovely!
