How come it's going to take so long?
Have been told mine will train to Canada then boat to Germany then the UK
3 to 4 weeks on the water, been told, it is a LHD and once in Canada my dealer's people put it on the boat, maybe they use faster boats?
Yours is (I guess) one or a few cars being sent to Europe where mine is the normal bulk Ford shipment. Its all down to cost.Have been told mine will train to Canada then boat to Germany then the UK

As DS said, it will be part of a large Ford shipment that goes to Zeebruge for unloading/undersealing/reloading/sail to Southampton/transported to dealer. Yours can go on any old boat they can get it on & go straight to the dealer when it arrives in the UK.Have been told mine will train to Canada then boat to Germany then the UK

Another Ruby fan here, but my Mrs. would just not entertain it.
A wife's veto is strong, very strong
My Mrs wanted black (ooh err) but I had to put my foot down. Glad I did. The Ruby looks stunning under street lights and in bright sunshine (not that we've had much). A wife's veto is strong, very strong

Update from Karen
It has been booked onto the TIJUCA which is due to sail on the 14th March. - hopefully I will see it late May ?
You should be late April more like. Couple of weeks across the Atlantic depending on stops then 1 week Zebrugge to Southampton is the current turnaround. It has been booked onto the TIJUCA which is due to sail on the 14th March. - hopefully I will see it late May ?

Wow, mine lands in Zebrugge in 3 days time, best get my finger out and finish her new home!Actually that is an interesting thought, should this car be a 'he' or a 'she'.

To the guys who've already had their cars - did Ford add extra heat shielding/tape for the wiring loom issue? I asked my dealer if they were prepared to do that on mine so there wouldn't be any further delays and he hadn't heard of it?
If it was built this side of Christmas, the mod will already have been done at the factory.14 long months after ordering I have just one more sleep to go!!
Collecting my race red fastback 5.0 gt tomorrow from
Vospers exeter.
I've also had front parking sensors fitted (local highly recommended independent chap that does work for Mercedes and others) and had dash cams wired in front and rear so she's ready to go!
I've got the checklist from mustang6g and used it to inspect last weekend and will be checking again tomorrow!
Thanks to all those on here for the 'community' and shared sanity for the last year or so!
Cheers
Noel
Ps obviously I'll post some pics!

ok so today is NOT the day. Arrived, did all the paperwork, went to inspect her (last week was basic inspection but she was dirty post transport). Lots of marks on the boot lid, marks on the edge of the roof and a scuff mark to the aluminium/chrome trim around the drivers side. Collecting my race red fastback 5.0 gt tomorrow from

Marks on the paintwork look like swirl marks but in the solid race red they were pretty evident, a quick hand polish from my sales chap was no joy so they've kept her for the bodyshop manager to inspect on Monday and current suggestion is a machine polish and them having to order a new part in for the chrome trim.
Felt sh*t having to walk away without her but after this long I've waiting want it to be right!
Anyone else with a race red got any thoughts/experience on if they had any marks on theirs at collection? These are pretty fine marks you have to look closely but marks they are!
