I've got a PS4 & son has a PS5 (something wrong therelaugh) - if I bought this on PS4 through the PS store, the game would then be in my library. If son then decided to have a go, would it download the PS5 version (presumably with better graphics) to his console?

I'll probably get a PS5 at some point but not any time soon!

Also the endurance races. Modding an RUF and using the option where the computer races for you, you just switched the TV off and left the PlayStation running.
Cant remember whether it was GT2 or GT3, but I remember that the endurance race on the oval track could be won by tuning the car to a stupidly high BHP, blue tac the accelerator button down and put an elastic band round the analogue sticks. The car would then ride the wall on full throttle and win the race. laughlaughlaugh

I think I saw somewhere that if you buy the PS4 only version you can pay later to upgrade it to the PS5 version. Your son's console would need to be signed into your account too I think.

I'm thinking of getting the PS4 digital version so I don't have to bother with a disc and then getting the PS5 version if/when I get one.

Cheers for the info. We share a PSN account (I've had one for years!) so that wouldn't be a problem. It's probably not his thing anyway but good to know.

There's ways of doing it, if you look on the GT website. I.e buy the digital version on PS5 and you can play it on PS4. It gets more complicated with the 25th anniversary versions

If you buy the 25th Anniversary edition physical copy it comes with a PS5 disc but a download code for PS4.

Oh that's cool, I've gone for the 25th disc version - was going to wait until I got a PS5 but might not be able to hold on biggrin

Oooh that sounds like a plan. I'm hoping this is more of a "proper" GT game. The last one I didn't bother with as I'm not an online player so I'd love a return to the "old" style GT. With maybe a few less variations of Honda Civics or MX5s...

Thank you, looks promising from a Google search but then the website says no stock for me. frown

Where did you get it from, please? This will teach me for being too slow on ordering it. laugh

Maybe check this again next week as when I first went to buy from Game it said out of stock, I checked again a couple days later and it was available again.

Amazon also says 'Temporarily out of stock' so you may be able to sign up for a notification when it is available again.

As above, Game - when it was first announced I'm afraid - hopefully will be back in stock soon somewhere.

Suzuki Edscudo Pikes Peak.

Think it worked on both GT2/GT3. Nothing more annoying it wake up and find out you’ve clipped a back marker and it hasn’t worked.

Some good things to look forward to but the music thing is just weird, speaking to friends we all said the same we turn the music off so to have a whole mode seems to be a bit of poor market research (GTplanet users appear to say the same).

It looks awesome!
First thing I do on any racing game is turn off in race music, it doesn’t bother me that it’s there. Same as scapes, if you like it then use it, it not then just ignore it

I have always done the same, keep music on in menus but turn it off for racing.

Interestingly did anyone who watched the State of Play video notice the BHP of the very fast Beetle. Did you notice the engine code?

GT3 engine. Probably why they didn’t show the extreme tuning part.

Haven't watched it yet, but if the tuning is finally getting a bit more in-depth with engine / drivetrain swaps that will be a vast improvement and definitely something I'm excited about.

It was something that made the Forza games a lot of fun, your car choice wasn't limited to just those that came as rear wheel drive originally as you could 'fix' whatever car you wanted and make it fun! hehe

I suspect being GT they will decide what engines you get to swap.
