The scenery, music and gameplay are all I expected. Spent ages roaming around got splatted by a giant did a bit of the main quest all in all I like it, going to face my first dragon today.
The first one is quite easy, you face it at about level 4. Things became much easier when I figured out how to equip magic Fun with baskets

Just bought this off Steam - am determined to give this one a real go, having never really played Oblivion or any other game like this before. The reviews universally rate this game very highly.
(downloading at 5.5MB/s - 7 minutes left!)
ETA - I thought this would be a huge HD hogger, but it's less than 6GB!

Just picked up my 360 copy at my local sainsburys at lunch. £36.99..cheaper than game.
Hopefully they will still give me reasons to kill civies.
Anyone who said the following:
"Look! There is the hero of Kavatch!"
"I saw a mud crab yesterday", "Yes, vile creature"
Got a swift blow to the head

If Royal Mail/Amazon don't come through with my order tomorrow, there's going to be some serious trouble...
Snap! I pre-ordered Skyrim too (for PC), but I'm actually busy this weekend so went for the standard delivery. You'll be pleased to know my copy hasn't popped through the letterbox yet!

Well, Im glad I didnt pre-order.
In 7 pages, I dont think anyone actually answered the original question (that I can remember) which was... "Do I need to pre-order" (due to stock levels etc). I feared there would be no available stock whatsoever on shelves, but also disliked the idea of pre-ordering as copies do not always turn up.
Not really fair on the hard core gamers who commit loyalty and money to a company well in advance, by pre-ordering, only to be let down.
Picked up a copy in town, Im at home but have more work to do yet zzz
Looking forward to settling down to give it a whirl tonight
