Why? Surely it's better to use them while you are playing through the game. I've used one at L8, one at L12 and plan on using my final one (at the moment) at L20. That should see me through a full run of the game on normal difficulty.

I should look into getting additional keys. I only had the one for pre-ordering on Steam, presumably. There was a post a few pages back about how to get additional ones and I should probably do that.

I had 6 of them last night, decided to spend one on a whim, but I'll be saving the others until I've levelled up more, or start to struggle in NG+.

I've just been following Randy Pitchford (CEO of Gearbox) on Twitter and he's been posting loads of codes up to test their SHIFT system, they're usually only up for a couple of hours, but throughout last weekend they all seemed to coincide with when I was playing it (probably says more about my playing habits than anything).

My logic is when I get to the second playthrough, I'm going to need some help!

Mick Zaford has a very curious accent. Clearly he is meant to be Irish, but whoever voices him seems to meander between Irish, Scots and Welsh. hehe

360 one doesn't seem to work? Presume I need to redeem it like a normal Xbox Live code?

Has anyone got the achievement for doing 5 rounds in a Circle of Slaughter solo? I'm level 25 now, and trying Fink's Slaughterhouse, fighting mainly level 21 / 22 enemies, and while I've got loads of ace weapons, I know I'm not as powerful as I can get yet before starting a NG+ - I suppose the best way to do the circle would be to go and do it right before fighting the last boss, or after the last boss during the side quest clean up, so I could be at the max level before restarting the game and making it harder again.

I've done level 1 of 5, and it's pretty hardcore. A lot of caustic badass goliaths, badass nomads and badass midget goliaths, so it needed a hell of a lot of bullets and a lot of running / hiding the keep the shields up. I get the feeling you aren't supposed to be able to do it solo, if that was only level 1, with 4 to go, and I'm level 25 vs the level 21/22 enemies.

The Mechromancer DLC character is being released a week early, so will be available today. Got my Zero playthrough to finish first, but might give this a go once I'm done.

Thanks for the headsup.

Am really enjoying playing as Zero. Defintely suits my play style, though may give Commando a go sometime. That said, I rarely play through a second time especially with something as involving as B2.

Playing Zero as a sniper style at the moment but am really tempted to play through again and go full on ninja but I get the feeling its going to be painful for 20 levels or so.

I've gone for the melee build and he does rip through enemies particularly well, you do need a big shield though and a quick recharge rate on it, plus chuck a few points into perks that give you health and boost your shield recharge after each kill. I've heard it's not a great choice by the end game as you can be taken down so easily by area-of-affect attacks. One big hit from one of the larger enemies up close is usually enough to put me down.

Not going to change it though as it's too much fun, even if I have to spend twice as long taking down some bigger bosses at a distance. I've got myself a pistol with +100% melee damage on it which is my default choice, even though the gun-damage on it is useless as I'm about 10 levels above it. I'm hoping I can find a replacement with even more of a melee amplifier.

the new dlc class 'mechromancer' i think its called, is out now btw.

looks pretty cool, has a uber robot to do all your fighting for ya, like a mobile turret that does melee and lasers.

Level 29 Commando now, just done the 3rd round of Fink's slaughter house. Much easier now, but still a hairy moment here or there when the badass enemy flood the arena on all sides and there is precious little space to hide. I think it might be possible to do the 2 final rounds solo, but if not I've got a friend who is roughly the same level as me who I might be able to team up with.
