Great fun! Thanks for arranging. Sorry about ploughing through the rolling start on the first race. I had no idea that was planned and not having a mic didn't help! Cheers Colin for sorting it all out.

Cheers Colin,

@fuel

they usually are quick to fix bugs so hopefully wont be long till you can come back

@paulm3

will do

@vinnie

yeah you were broadside and what can i say my mclaren likes to launch cars over itself lol

@jon

dont worry about it as its not the norm for champs to manually do a warm up lap but everyone will know for future

@havoc

you are just having no luck today with it lol

here's the results from both races, the other tables will be updated over the course of tonight/tomorrow and there might be some slight changes but going to have a good think over it

Same I cant seem to get any consistency in my laptimes +/- 10 sec in a car that should be able to lap within a tenth of itself

Yeah good racing mate, was slightly nervous in places due to the lack of space so Bathurst should be interesting..!

That was fun once it settled down, the first warm up lap was interesting!

Will actually have to do some practise for Bathhurst, not driven it yet on this game.

Sounds like it was fun. Chuck me down as a casual, although my availability on Thursdays is a bit hit and miss.

What is the deal with car selection if I don't know in advance if I'll be available? Presumably I can just pick one on the night?

Enjoyed last night guys and really sorry if I punted anyone at any point - I tried not to and held back if I hit anyone on a corner.

Lol @ wombatwaffle on the timings.

Couple of constructive comments if that's ok?

I found it hard to hear as people were talking over the race controller (BTW good work on that and the first start was funny). I don't have a mic so couldn't say shut up biggrin

The racing was mostly clean and so much better than mayhem online, but I got punted in the second round twice when trying to overtake and got spun out from 4th to last frown. Last and 3rd punt was the worst though as I was steaming up behind someone on a straight who then simply moved right into my path whilst I was at full pelt. Hopefully my awareness and others will get better as we go smile

Any chance we can see best laptimes as well as the points? Chunky was moving some, I have some work to get close.

@ Havoc last race and last laps was right behind you, nice driving and had fun - sorry for a minor corner bump, I held back after to say sorry !

Way ahead of me, almost enough to hang my driving boots up - are you using a controller or steering wheel?

Incoming wall of text

As discussed last night due to the amount of signups we will be running another league on saturdays aswell now (League 2), it will run at the same time (8pm BST) and have the exact same setup as the thursday league. At first i will host league 2's lobby until it fills up with drivers then i will leave the hosting to someone who only races on the saturday, all i would need them to do apart from host it of course is to take screenshots of the qualifying/race results screen. This can either be done using the "share" button on the DS4 pad or by taking pictures on your phone, whatever is easiest just so i can make up the tables.

There will be some changes to the setup to make it easier for all especially on the formation lap, the changes are:

  • There will now be a predetermined spot for when the race will start, for example on Brands Hatch GP it will be as soon as you enter the start/finish straight. You CANNOT race before these points so if you see someone ahead start to accelerate away you will have to wait till you reach this point yourself before accelerating off so its in your best interests to keep up with the pack.
  • The leader will be limited up to 100 mph (150 kmh iirc) on both the formation lap and warm down laps.
  • Cars on their warm down lap will stick to the left side of the track to make it simpler for the cars still racing to get through.
  • When passing a back marker the chasing car will pass on the right to save confusion and preferably only on straights to reduce the chance of any contact.
  • As we did last night, on the formation lap for Race 2 the grid will split into GT3/4 packs and you just form up behind the first car you see thats in your class.
  • The flag/penalty system will be getting turned off as its not proving as useful as i originally hoped, for example it only showing a blue flag when the chasing car is already about to overtake also i think someone got hit with a drive through penalty even though they didnt cut the track. This means im trusting everyone not to cut the track or ram other drivers and i will manually hand out penalties for these myself in future.
  • The amount of uses per car will be increased to 3 for the GT3 cars, GT4 will stay the same
  • The casual drivers will have their own league table

That covers pretty much all the changes so if theres any questions feel free to ask smile , Now that theres 2 Leagues and the GT3 car uses has changed aswell im going to need to get everyone to fill out the form below with there preference for race night etc. If you already raced last night you can still switch to saturdays but your points would be reset also egor asked a good question in that if you picked a car and arent getting on with it then you can change it for another car as long as the new car still has uses left. There wont be any limit on this but if you change your car every race (casual guys arent affected by this) then i may ban you from changing it anymore for the rest of the season.

@Speckle

on race night i would let the casual racers know which class we need drivers in and then you are free to pick whatever car you want in that class

@halo

the best i can do is post up the quali times as the replay system doesnt show any of this information at the moment as far as im aware

All in all it was a good night and over time it should get better smile
