Try Wreckfest, it's DD in all but name and enormous fun.

As for remakes we need:

Dino Crisis
Bloodrayne
Time Crisis
F-Zero
Sega Rally
Pilotwings
Pilotwings could be good fun on modern phones or nintendo switch using tilt functions.

Siphon Filter!! You, Sir, are an inadvertent superstar!

For reasons I can’t even remember now I was trying to think of this game for ages. I couldn’t get away from “Splinter Cell” but I knew that wasn’t it.

I had a vague memory of a stealthy mission where you wore a tux. Just YT’d it and found it! The Expo mission.

Nice one Turn7.

Yeah, I have a load of older / smaller games off Steam etc. Humble Bundle has a lot to answer for! Epic have been doing 1 free game each day over Christmas too.

System Shock is being remade. Inevitably, it is a long, slow, gestation. But a demo is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/482400/System_S...

I got 95%+ of the way through SS2, but a bug kept killing me and I didn't have game saves far enough back to get around it!

I'm a big fan of Ultima Underworld too. Incredible to think that it came out in the same month that the original Wolfenstein did. Way better 3D, plot, complexity etc. There was a remake made, but I seem to remember legal issues forced them into making it a sort-of sequel; Underworld Ascendant. By all accounts it is disappointing.

I've been playing the C&C remaster, great stuff.
I'm hoping they continue with more from that series. Yuri's airships. biggrin

I would put gta san andreas in the mix.
Just the graphic's, leave the gameplay alone.

A good game shouldn't need a 4 figure graphics card to enjoy it. smile

Agree on San Andreas. A little tweak to the graphics is all it needs, and not even to make it as “realistic” as V. Might be rose tinted specs but it was peak GTA for me.

Tomb raider 1, but make it open world like a/c origins.

The whole Natla and scion story would be epic as a massive 100+ hour game.

Played the PS2 classics original on PS2 (not the crappy mobile port) and it's perfectly playable and enjoyable still.

It’s almost tempting to pick up a PS2 (mine is long dead) and a copy to see.

Edit: £12 on Xbox One! Downloading now biggrin

Going back to the very first post, Stunt Car Racer is a great shout. Been playing Wreckfest which is great fun, but those fantasy tracks from SCR would be amazing. Wreckfest goes some way towards it with the crazy tracks, but none are as terminally mental as SCR.

I also like the original version of Deus Ex 2000. I can see where a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 come from.

They did remake it as Tomb Raider Anniversary a while back, which still hold up pretty well

Meant to say PS3, the original is on PS3 with the classics trilogy, as well as PS4. Not sure which version the Xbox One is.
