Played a bit yesterday. OMG I see why everyone plays sniper! It's so easy to rank up / be at the to of the points table! Just get on a flat with plenty of traffic and snipe away. Sooo many points it was crazy. Helped that several PH's had squad boosts as well though! smile
Is there a PC PH group?

I always use the mortar to get the snipers, that never gets boring and is highly effective! hehe
Games,Cars,Bikes. How does any relationship survive all this? I have been told to grow up and concentrate on the important things in life like having children/family etc. I am single now so I do as I please. But it's surely got to kill a relationship if u rarely spend any time together. Unless of course u don't actually want to spend any time with them as u r only together for the sake of it? Women usually hate all this stuff. If my ex girlfriends knew what I was like now they would say that they had a lucky escape.
I do love this game btw.

'Tis a good game! I don't get much game time though I'm afraid as there's lots of other stuff to do!

Lol. When a man is in love he doesn't want do anything else accept be with that person. But I suppose that depends upon whether u have ever been in love or not. That's a whole different topic (see all my other threads) At the moment I am in love with this game.

Balance? You have to have other interests outside each other. I'll play for two hours while she reads a book or something. The next night we'll spend time together.

It helps that I can run off 4 hours less sleep than she does. Buys me a lot of time! Also we don't have kids yet - I'll probably have to knock the ps4 on the head if they come a long!

I have to fight the other half for who gets first go! Worryingly she's getting almost as many kills as me now though !

Im starting to grow weary of the way the game handles any connectivity issues while flying. Four times in one game it started to lag and just nose-dived me into the floor. Also glitches with the repair, any lag while its doing it and it has no effect.

It doesn't help when the assault class can't carry enough ammo to take down a tank and that dynamite doesn't always work when you try and throw it. You need to rely on mines to get the initial hit and then follow-up with rockets (which puts you at risk).

I spent a few games yesterday just trying to hunt tanks (I was going for a medal that needs anti-tank grenade kills), in the end I gave up and went for infantry as I had no help from anyone, not even the other tanks.
Use cavalry. 2 anti tank nades and you re-stock on them every 15-20 seconds.

Even though this is cheaper, its a depressingly high amount to basically have the second half of a proper multiplayer. The maps on offer now are really too few in my opinion.

It is BUT if you spend just 10 hours on the new maps then it is £3 per hour. Pretty good VFM. In fact, I doubt much else comes close to that kind of VFM.

BF2 shipped with 12 and ended up with 15 after DLC...

BF3/4 shipped with ten maps out of the box. 3 had 12 maps added in its lifecycle. 4 had 23 maps released in its lifecycle - most rehashes of fan favourites from BF2-BF3.

Quite frankly the best BF game in the series Bad Company 2 shipped with:

1. Panama Canal
2. Valpariso Village
3. Laguna Alta
4. Isla Innocentes
5. Atacama Desert
6. Arica Harbour
7. White Pass
8. Nelson Bay
9. Laguna Presa
10. Port Validez

It then received four new maps in its lifecycle through DLC.

Battlefield One -

1. Ballroom Blitz
2. Argonnes Forest
3. Fao Fortress
4. Suez
5. St Quinten Scar
6. Monte Grappa
7. Amiens
8. Empires Edge
9. Sinai Desert

Then they released the rehash of Scar that is Giants Shadow as a 'free map'...

So really it wasn't a free map, just held back content.

Not that I'm saying that more maps make a game great BF3/4 were good, but nowhere near as good as BC2... but it's understandable where people get the notion that a game is stripped back of content prior to release... accurately or otherwise...

On a separate note I'm finding I don't have the draw or urge to play this as much as prior games... Not sure why.

I don't think that "most" could be classed as re-hashes. Aside from the op firestorm pack of 4, and dragon valley or whatever it was, the rest were all new were they not?

Given the increasing size of maps with each iteration, and the inclusion of operations, I really don't get the complaints of 1 less map being a terrible terrible betrayal.

most of the dlc on BF4 was garbage as well with China Rising(?) tending to be unplayable due to 'lag'/bullet sponges that didnt occur on any other map pack released. Then the ones nearer the end just ended up being too big for their own good.

Atleast with BF1, bar you and Steve, a majority of us are finding the connection to other players alot more stable with less and less bullet sponges.

For me, to improve this game would be to increase the frequency or potentially number of vehicles in game, instead of having to wait ages for something to respawn only to find some retard pick a wker tank and sit at the back of the map doing fk all with it.

Played a game of operations the other night, 9/20 of the opposing attacking team where snipers, 1 in an artillery truck not doing anything, 2 in an attack plane not able to do anything leaving 8 attempting to take the flags vs 20 defenders. It didnt change even when they got the dreadnought

Imagine if this was it like the old days, the game comes out, that's it, finished.

BF1 in its current incarnation would be mocked for lacking content but we all know they will feed us more content, some for "free" and some at a price.

Right now I don't feel like Premium is giving me any benefits but hopefully as time goes on things will start to improve in that respect, however by the time that happens they will probably be giving everything away and selling the game for £19.99 when it's finally close to bug-free and the game it should have been on release day.

I tend to play the 64 player maps of operations... Tends to mix it up a bit

Been very in to this but as many people are finding, it's pretty bare. The maps are good but not overly inspiring.

Would people recommend BF4? Last time I spoke to a friend of mine about it he said it was just a hacked mess online.

From videos I've watched online it seems to be much more open maps and looks good fun. Just wonder if it's worth the outlay this late on in it's life?

On another note, bought rainbow Seige again last night. Great fun.

If you're anything like me then it's the lack of medals, ribbons and assignments compared to prior games.

There were about 50 ribbons, 50 medals and about 5 assignments per DLC in BF3 to work towards once you'd got to grips with the game and you play for any of them at any time.

In BF1 you get 5 random medals per week, which often include medals you've already unlocked and you can only work on one medal at a time.

This week my alloted medals included only 1 medal I hadn't already unlocked. I finished it off in a couple of hours meaning for the rest of the week I'm playing just for points. Pretty dull really.

It's going to get worse too - I've currently unlocked 19/34 medals, as I unlock more, the chances of me getting a new medal to work towards each week gets lower. The chances of ever completing all of them are going to be slim, limited not by my ability, but by an in game random number generator. That sucks balls. frown

Personally I love the more casual feel of this game.

I couldnt stand having 50 pretty much equal assault rifles to choose from, or loads of ridculous challenges to work through.

I like to pick up, have a laugh, put down.

This is why Battlefield 1 perhaps is a bit of an opinion splitter though. Some of the hardcore lot I am sure are not happy.

Some of these BF players missed the original BF series on PC where the maps where limited but free expansion packs and weapon choice was even less and only limited to the country you was fighting for
