I may not be able to manage next Saturday night but I'll still line up an entry just in case I am free.

There's very limited scope for interesting paint jobs within a price cap of $20k. Is it worth decoupling the paint cost from the price cap? It has no performance advantage. And I think it will look more interesting in photos and videos if the cars are more individually coloured.

I think thats a good idea regarding the paint.

Hopefully we could do a few of these in the week too, Im usually more able to get on after 10pm weekdays than the weekend

Free paint is a good idea, including the rim paint or not?

Should be able to do next sat

You've got to change the wheels to be able to paint them, I doubt many people will spend part of their budget on wheels

I can't do Saturday, (can probably do Friday if you want a trial run) - I'm with Jobbo on the paint

I should be good for Saturday.

I would like to see more non-performance mods allowed outside of the £20k budget. It adds a bit of variety if we can go silly with paint/wheels/horns/lights etc.

yes, I think paint, horns wheels etc... should be unlimited budget ( not including bullet proof tyres! ;-) )

also does a spoiler count as a performance mod ? even on a sedan ???

Spoiler definitely a performance mod - same for wheels - aren't offroad wheels supposed to be better on any car in races? IMO if we really want to change wheels without affecting the 20k limit then should at least specify no off-road ones

Ok, so $20k budget covers:

Purchase of vehicle
Armour
Engine
Brakes
Suspension
Spoiler
Transmission
Turbo

Wheels aren't in the budget but off road wheels are banned.

Did I miss anything?

Also what challenger says goes, he's running this show for our benefit, no need to give him aggro thumbup

This sounds better... I reckon we'll have some amazing (I'm using that term loosely) cars on show this time!

sounds good.. no aggro here, just asking the questions... don't want the ban hatchet upon me! judge

my car is definitely under £20,000!

Albany Primo - £9000
4 Stage Engine
20% Armour

no spoiler this time! thumbup

Surely only paint should be outside of the budget as you then have to decide whether you go for a performance advantage or a 'show' advantage or a bit of both (im assuming points are awarded for both)?

Don't think off road tyres have been banned by the organiser.
