It's a shame that I am appalling at it.
You can play with a mate, and take it in turns to win. Betting on each other will help boost cash a little too. but this can take the fun out of the game a little.Horse power and downtown underground have good pay outs for short laps.
As hopeful as I am that the heists will be a great new element to the game, I'm still left wondering if they will be enough to keep the game going. I can't see where the big differences will be between them and just doing a big string of regular missions. If the payouts are huge, then I'd need more things to do with my money. The content creator could add some pretty fun races, like Chiliad runs and some good hill climbs and I look forward to that.
I'm a firm believer that you make your own fun in this game, and that 'trying things out' can produce some of the most hilarious moments. I think what they need to add is rewards based on achievements that will force people to do stupider and stupider things or work together in free roam to troll people in more creative ways. So reward us for getting so many mid-air collisions in planes or hoisting enough people by cargobobs, parachuting into chopper rotors or for jumping from one roof of a player driven truck onto another. The crew and friends are great for this. Destruction Derby at the horse track? Genius. With the right combo of people I could play the game as it is right now for months and months and have great fun. The problem is I'd run out of cash and have to turn to a night of 'boring' scripted stuff just to top up my account a bit.
Mission lobbies are empty these days and playing them with unknowns is pointless anyways. Quick Races are all just grinds now on the most exploitable tracks. Running about shooting other players is fun for a while but if thats the appeal, why not play COD? Basically, everyone is always going to just try to get rich quick - no point in fighting that. Just open it more to other, more twisted pastimes!
People need to be creative, and if they aren't, they need to be forced into it! Mayhem in Free-roam should be more profitable. I can't understand why in an open free-roam server, the skies aren't just filled with jets and choppers and constant explosions.
Thats my thoughts that noone asked for. I love the game and think the map and cars are sublime. But there's so much competition for players these days amongst all the big releases and new consoles, they need to do something fast to change current GTA playing habits and avoid a mass exodus of players.

I had a race last night which I won, and the huy who lost sent me a message saying that if someone crashed you wait for them. That's jolly sporting of them, but I've never heard of that before? Is it just sour grapes?
fk that, nearly every race I'm in with randoms, some clips your rear quarters to spin you out.Wrathalanche said:

All they need is a passive lobby and an aggressive lobby. So you want to drive around with others and mess about you can't kill each other.I'm a firm believer that you make your own fun in this game, and that 'trying things out' can produce some of the most hilarious moments. Then an aggressive lobby where anything goes. I don't understand being able to chase a bounty on someone, yet I can't blow up their car.
Credit where it's due, it is the first time doing something like this and you can't please everyone. But if they didn't have the insurance premium and the bad sport etc you'd see a lot more creativity and actual gameplay. I'm outnumbered by two guys I throw a sticky granade and I'm the bad sport? It's trying to catch all and prevent trolling, but it hinders the gameplay. I'm happy for people to kill me in the game, but let me exact revenge as I see fit.
I love the game and managed to steal a jet today.

Will do. I remember we used to play farcry3 together Got a 27 in the golf couple of times now (-9) which is crew best. I'm certain a 25 is possible but glitchers have managed a 12 apparently. Kids these days have far too much time on there hands
Tried golfing for the first time myself last night, I was surprised to be put in a random group of 4 automatically. All Americans, one lad particularly adept at "trash talking" until the other two left. Completed the round myself after he left on the second hole. Twelve over, I need to work on my short game and bunker avoidance. Managed to level my Strength too, a stat I'd forgotten about previously.
I hadn't expected it to be as good, it's easy to pick up, but tough to master. I'll be on again tonight if anyone wants a game.
Is everyone joining the GenPop freeroam sessions, or starting Crew Only rooms? Due to my rural BB, I have to start Invite Only or Solo sessions if I want to get on, then Quick Race or host a game.
Other MMOs that I've played have been split into PVP and PVE servers, so I'm not sure why Rockstar haven't tried this. Even on a PVE server you would still have the option of DM or TDM or team missions, but with less wky behaviours in freeroam.
{EDIT}
Can you sell back the stuff you've "bought" from Warstock?
Does Ponsonby's unlock at a particular level?
Has anyone ever taken the train from station to station?

No crew only rooms. Ponsonby's is afaik always open but all shops sell everything online. Not tried riding trains in all honesty I've jumped on freight trains (best getaway vehicle ever) but not passenger trains. You can't sell stuff back (how would that make sense? It'd be like a free loan).Other MMOs that I've played have been split into PVP and PVE servers, so I'm not sure why Rockstar haven't tried this. Played golf with Pete last night.. or the night before. Pete left in a rage as I was winning.
loljk, I was s**t. But everyone left so I won. Golf is a mystery to me.
PVP/PVE might be the solution, idk.
