Forza 4 - PH Classic 60's
Discussion
I would just like to say a big thank you to all the guys who joined in the racing tonight. Cheers chaps. Very clean racing and also some very close racing
Had some epic overtaking, mainly by somebody else on me. I remember Bigchowmein doing a fantastic overtake round the outside of the long curve on Road America
He also seemed to have a cracking race in the Lotus Carlton round the Nurburgring GP with a close last lap/corner.

Thanks to all the guys who joined in last night for a few races. It was a small impromptu get together. I have got to give credit to CBR who raced with us last night. He had terrible lag all night and seemed to drop from the races, but he stuck with it and seemed to be very determined to get a good race. Welldone
I shall be starting do alot more race nights and schedule a proper race night during the week or weekend sometime. If the lobby has approx 6 or more people racing, then I shall require that we use the handicap system for first, second, third places.
Those interested in a scheduled Classic 60s race night please submit suggestions below. Thanks

It was just me and CBR to begin with, checking out Road America. We then had a few others join the fun, but the lobby wasn't even half full, at the end. Andy,Fatty, Josh and myself all had great fun though, with some good battles. I remember taking my door mirror off, by rolling my Ferrari at Mugello - Oh dear

Yes and no. I backed off a bit when you had a few 'moments' round Road America, so you could catch up and we could carry on having a good battle I also had to go 'Harry Flatters' to catch up a few times, when I had the odd 'moment', otherwise I was generaly driving on the pace
If you're getting frustrated with driving in Forza4, you could always talk to us either here or in game. We can help you and perhaps find your strengths and weaknesses in your driving/car etc. We are a friendly bunch here.
My main strength in driving in Forza4 is sticking to the racing line, forcing everybody to go the longway round My main weakness is just not being fast enough and making too many mistakes.

It looks like the 512TR is B499, which would be OK in my book, to include in the RETRO 80's racing. It does have a '91 model year, but I will change the lobby setup to now include 1991 for you. So 1980 to 1991 ?!
This does of course mean that other people will now tune up and drive 1991 E30 BMW M3s

No it shouldn't be. Lots of other cars should be racing.
I have updated my original 1st post on page 1 to reflect the 1991 rule change introduced to allow the Ferrari 512TR. I have the race rules also set to a PI limit of B500 and as stated on page 1, I have decided to allow you to have any upgrades on the Ferrari 512TR, as long as you stick to the PI limit. This gives you ONE whole point of PI upgrades to play with
I have also added my own B500 Ferrari 512TR to the xxPH club garage for other people to use
All other cars should be built to B495. Thanks

Another big thankyou to all who took part last night. We had some new visitors joining in the fun last night and I am pleased they were able to get into the racing so quickly. They are a good bunch of clean racers and so are welcome to race in the Classic 60s races.
Also a quick apology for starting so late. Next week, I should be able to start the racing earlier. We start with the Classic 60's races round Nurburgring GP, Road America and Leguna Seca and also a quick photo shoot at Mugello. Thanks chaps.
Followed by the Classic 50's racing round Silverstone and LeMans.
We finished the night with some RETRO 80's races with a race round Suzuka and a lap of the 'ring'.

I suspect that we had a few more crashes than normal last night and what crashes we did have were 'significant'. I suspect that main aspect of this is due to a higher number of people racing on the track, with perhaps less room.
I will also mention the most of the 'new' guys who joined us last night normally race with FULL damage on. This is to encourage 'clean' racing in their race series. I currently do not set my races to FULL damage, as I know that some people cannot seem to do a race, without picking up damage, either through their own fault or somebody else’s fault.
I would welcome any discussion on whether we should switch to FULL damage, to promote clean racing.
Either way, I still enjoyed last night and had some great racing myself
