Odd start to the race, I was 3rd on the grid but could only see Ian in front of me. UncleDave (did you start the race?) Anyway off we went the positions number top left said I was 3rd, I looked right, nothing, left, nothing, only Ian in front so I held my breath and turned into T1 on my normal racing line. Nothing happened, now I was confused thinking maybe the 2nd placed car was invisible and possibly right in front of me. So being cautious I braked slightly earlier than normal into Turn 2, but with heavy fuel and missing the blip on the downchange to 2nd I half spun and was hit up my rear, one car went past (PV) and it said I was still 3rd! Anyway I gave chase to PV (I hate following him as he looks like crashing at every corner and is a big distraction 
) Got past going into turn 1 and started to really push to catch up with Ian but I think I must have fryed my tyres as I started to slide more and more, at one stage I thought I had a flat as it spat me out left onto the drag strip near the end of the lap. I got going again now 5th but pushing too hard to catch up again, eventually finished 5th.
At least I got the fuel just right, red warning as I started the last lap (30 laps - 36 mins worth), but probably need to adjust the default settings next time and maybe a diff setting that suits my manual clutch.

I've just looked at the replay Neil, why did you drive full throttle off the track into Divers car on lap 1 when he had ran wide and gone off? Or is this another odd replay moment?

Tried lifting off rather than braking as braking on that corner ends up in pitching sideways. Didn't make much difference, and as my steering wheel (in the game) was at rather a funny angle, I'd be tempted to say I had a severely buggered suspension setup.

Downloaded a codec pack, however Media Player still needs a codec for .vcr files...
The replays I would imagine are just code that tells GTL what to display rather than being movie style files. Or else this 9mb vcr file would be 100+ MB in size for the ammount of data and time it has recorded, qualifying 30mins, race 30mins.

It was quite a spectacular collision. I kept watching it on bonnet cam and trying to pause the impact just at the right moment to get an interior shot of Divers car. Look there he is and he uses Willans seat belts, good job too.
