Played another hour or so on this last night and noticed my first niggles.

I went out to a Bay area to kill a Midget on a BullyMong. Getting there was a bit of a pain as there were loads of things to shoot. However, once I was there I managed to kill the Midget and the Mong with my grenade launcher gun. This was ok, apart from a few things.

When I opened the door that the Mong ran out from, I noticed some vending machines. I nipped over to them to get ammo and health, but didn't realise that when you are using them the action continues in the background. I ended up nearly being killed whilst trying to sort out health and ammo. I think it would be good if the game froze while you performed transactions like this.

Another thing. When going back to the posh chap with the hat to complete the mission, I didn't realise that when I travel back from the Bay to the main area, all of the points I cleared before on the way out are manned again. So, I had to shoot my way back through Mongs and things even though I had cleared them all out before. Tad annoying as my ammo was low.

I'm also getting a bit lost in the gun menus. It's most probably because I'm new to the franchise, but there seem to be a lot of guns dropped and it can be difficult (sometimes) to decide which ones to take and which to drop. I know this is something that may come to me the more I play and learn the game, but there is a lot of choice smile.

Apart from the above, I'm enjoying the game. Seem to chew through ammo though. smile

Yes. This is my #1 gripe with the game. I'm all for areas gradually respawning but not for instant reset like this.

I've very sadly had to finally stop using Social Shotgun 1340 because now, at Level 30, he's just too underpowered. *sniff* Gonna miss you, buddy.

Can't bear to sell him though, so he goes into the vault at Sanctuary for safekeeping and I found a new shotgun that is as good on fire-rate and magazine capacity.

54x6?

Feh.

I've got one that does something like 247x17, with fire, and is a Tediore "I'm reloading, chap, so would you be a dear and catch this exploding gun" weapon. It's great. It's even a nice colour.

I'll post a pic when I get home.

By my reckoning you should come across what I've branded the 'Pinocchio' pistol soon, after I got that from the robot who wants to be human I used it til the end of the game, perfect for the final boss and so-on.

Yes, that's the point I was making! It's completely under-gunned now. Was pretty good at level 14 though and I love how it talks to you.

Edit: Although I hated "The Bane". That got sold pretty much immediately as it was too annoying.

That one is random from game to game, if it's the one I'm thinking of.

Yeah, just seen a video of it online, totally different firing method than mine, which is like a little shotgun, but a very nice little trinket to have.

If you are playing on a PC there must be an ini config tweak like these - http://www.gamefront.com/how-to-improve-borderland...

look for any spawn time lines?

My new rocket launcher is quite amusing though. For now Constructors aren't quite as annoying as they were. smile

Indeed.

http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Fibber

I just got mine having completed the Mal side-quest but I haven't tested it at Marcus' yet to see what it's actual damage is.

Edit: Just tested it and 9844 on critical hits and 616 otherwise. I am disappoint. frown
Edit2: Pretty rapid firing though, for a pistol, and the bullets bounce off walls and floors.

Just think of all that wonderful loot!

I'm going to start the dlc tonight while my buddy catches up so we can go through the second playthrough together. once you beat the warrior on the second playthrough you get playthrough 2.5 which levels all mobs to your level and they start dropping crazy damage guns

Ooh! Ooh! I want! How do I get it?

Edit: Although the accuracy and fire rate are a bit low, the damage looks immense.

Looks cool. My shotgun at the moment is Miss Moxxi's Heartbreaker, dealing 2129x10dmg, +50% critical and 1957.1dmg/sec fire status.

However, it feels a bit underpowered next to my main guns, Bowie Maggie, alegendary revolver, - 1536x6 (1 pull of the trigger fires 6 shots at once, costing a single bullet, a bit like a super accurate shotgun), "Fire as fast as you can pull the trigger" and +50% melee dmg, 8 round magazine and reall quick reload, and a "Boss Gatling Gun", which is a rare but not unique minigun doing 5954x3 dmg for every trigger pull. With these two weapons, I can output an insane amount of damage, and thats before I get out my burst firing "Supressive Sloth" sniper rifle that fires 3 bullets per shot, each dealing 11418dmg - a critical hit with this can deal in excess of 100,000dmg per shot.

When things get really hairy, I get my Eridium powered RPG out - 90,000+dmg per shot, plus slag effect. Jesus christ.

I'm at level 49 now and 3/4 towards level 50. I expect I'll be hitting the level cap within the hour.

Just hit level 50, now the loot farming can begin. I'm going to try and get a level 50 bee shield and a level 50 conference call so I can have a chance at soloing Terramorphous the Invincible.

Is the AI better in BL2 than BL1? I've just started playing BL1 this week and the AI is pretty poor. I can drive up to about ten yards from a bandit, aim my rocket launcher at him, and he doesn't react until he is hit by a rocket!

Good fun so far though. Up to level 14 or so.

I've currently got a sniper rifle with 800 damage, 350 corrosive damage on top and it fires like a machine gun something like 2 bullets a second!
I almost exclusively use sniper rifles, so it's fecking awesome, 24 round mag and with all my spec points it's deadly accurate it means i can rip through threshers (which i bloody hate!)

Another thing i find myself doing is keeping all the special guns in the bank vault, i do have the bane weapon equipped, walking is a pain but as a weapon of last resort it's quit handy, alongside my 250X2 pistol with a 65 round mag.

I think once you get the level 50 bee it makes the game a little pointless. Watched a video of yoteslaya, meat wagon and Bentley destroy terramorphus in about 5 seconds. Good luck though, I'll be doing the same!

Also, maddie is an amazing weapon, I'd urge people to read up on it as you could end up not being able to get it if you make a certain decision
