Only a month to the next rookie promotion. Suggest a few start from pits, ease off the racing and use the time to practice and overtaking from the back of the pack.
Mainly racing Skippy at the moment, so tend to judge the grid and participants on a race by race basis as to whether to start from pitlane. There are some people I now recognise and actively stay away from. Unfortunately, even still there are A and B license holders whose race craft is shocking, misjudging braking distances and aggressive weaving. You don;t mind too much if there is an apology to follow, but a lot of the time there isn't.
I think i'm going to make the move out of Mazda Cup. Some great people and great racing there but sadly the few idiots ruin it.
Had a great race then some nobber, Lukasz Rynczak, rams me after the race finish. Had been trying to get up to A licence on a fast track but that'll take it's toll.
p.s Have had the FW31 for a while but no licence so test only. Finally a track came round that I have so I could use it in a practice session with other drivers. That thing is immense! 7th gear flat out down the back straight and through the chicane at Spa, simply awesome!

Mazda cup is a zoo. Skippy is better but still not totally devoid of the muppets.
It's the little things like using F3 so if you spin/get wrecked you don't just drive straight back onto the circuit straight in front of someone. On the flip side of that, F3 is very helpful to see when you are coming up on an incident so you can plan for it. Last race I had at Mosport, I could see that myself and the guy right behind me were gaining massively on the two cars in front, so obviously there had been some shenanigans up ahead.
I take this on board, guy behind me storms past, giving abuse as I was holding speed a bit lower than normal (must have abuse on a preprogrammed button!) straight into the two cars up ahead. 'tis nice when you can just drive by that sort of thing.
I certainly think the series' where you need to pay for content are slightly better with regards to manners. Better but not as good as they could be.

My membership has now lapsed. Loved the game but just got fed up waiting till the hour bar for a race and getting punted off within two laps. Final straw was getting a violation email that I had hit someone on purpose. I replied accepting I did but if that was the case were they applying the same penalty to the same person who side swipped me on the straight to stop me passing. They did not even reply !!
I'm not fast and doubt I ever will be. I do however really enjoy the thrill of close racing. From sitting on the grid waiting the green to crossing the line within a fraction of a second of a competitor, absolutely fantastic, exciting and thrilling experience. I think the Oculus will massively add to it.
I remember my first win, I swear I nearly had a heart attack!

I have G27 pedals but replaced the brake with a TSS pressure sensor system a while back. Took some getting used to at first but was an excellent upgrade.

It's my left leg for me. Starts shaking like anything when I'm in the lead, which makes braking rather interesting.
I got it horrendously bad on the way to my first ever win. My mind kept on reminding me that it was only a game, my body didn't care.
The oculus won't make you faster I'm afraid. It does make the looser cars easier to drive though. Cars which you need to slide I really can't drive on a monitor. But with the Oculus, something like the Lotus 79 is an absolute hoot!
Expensive hobby though, just like most that are worth having. T500RS, Obutto Ozone and a nice i5 2500k & GTX670 rig for me. Almost as expensive as my camera habit.
