I've been playing this game on and off for 3 years now (though I hadn't touched it for about a year until last week) and I think that Brands is definately one of the most difficult and technically challenging tracks - so if your new to the game don't get discouraged!

The key to a consistant quick (not fast) lap is smoothness of throttle and brake - avoid locking wheels at any cost - late hard braking does not work in this game - slow in fast out appears to be the only way - I just wish I could master it!!!

This time, if you're being lapped, please move aside. Thank you

I've played it sporadically for two years, but I bought it specificaly to learn where the corners went on the Nordschleiffe before a track week there. Consequently I am not bad at that track but pretty crap every where else as I have not tried them.

I just got WinVroc working 2 mins ago so I am all ready for tonight now :tremblesinfearandanticipation:

I'll try

Incidently, does anyone fancy been nice and sending a setup file my way? I can't get the car set up at all and those setup's on Eagle Woman's site don't seem to work

Wahoo An hour and a halfs practice and I'm down to 1:48 best now. However I tried a race and it's bl00dy hard keeping out of the way of the faster cars and trying to overtake without hitting the one in front is a nightmare.

I apologise in advance to the carnage I will try to avoid tonight

You can have mine if you like but it's a ferrari setup for no driver aids and is a bit frisky because I've geared it very low. I can do 1.41s in it but I know there's a 1.38 lurking there somewhere. If you want it you can email me and I'll post it to you when I get home.

Any chance of making it a 944 owners 1-2-3 finish then?

Which side are you going to barge past me on the first corner then... just so I know where to move to get out of the way this time

I never managed to see the replay of that - I thought I'd given you loads of room. Obviously not

I, erm, may have attempted to shut the door a little keenly if I was being honest

Maybe, if everyone is agreable, we should attempt to get through turn 1 in the order we qualify in rather than the inevitable 15 abreast It's always difficult to know what to do... either qualify well and be rear ended into turn 1 or qualify badly and cruise past the group grass cutting effort

At Brands it always seems to be turn 2 where I end up causing chaos when I race the AI, turn 1 isn't too much of a prob...

Think I might need to work on actually starting the car too, I either bog down horribly or get so much wheelspin the back of the car ends up catching the front in a hurry

I'd much prefer we all tried to get through turn one as per grid position, but who knows, I'll probably light up the rear tyres and harpoon the pitwall :

I'm signed up on WinVroc but the race lists have been down all day, people have been grumbling about it in the chat area

Do we need those lists to race or do we make our own once we get into the Pistonhead chat room?

Best of 1:45 now, I am becoming a GPL god
