No Mans Sky - looks interesting

Is anything known about the PC version of this? If it's identical to the PS4 I'll get it on that, but if it's quite different I'll go for the PC version.
I'm thinking 60fps, Steam Controller, better graphics etc.
PS4 hardware is definitely stretched with this game from the streams I've seen. I'll be buying on PC for sure when the price comes down.I'm thinking 60fps, Steam Controller, better graphics etc.
I was going to ask which format everyone was going with, but as it doesn't really matter as it's not multi-player I opted for PC for two reasons.
1. It's slightly cheap (I paid £36)
2. It has 'don't panic' on the cover in big friendly letters.
Actually price was the main reason. And that the PC version will be technically superior.

PS4 is locked to 30fps with drops as low as 15fps.I'm thinking 60fps, Steam Controller, better graphics etc.
I'd get it on PC.
I'll probably go for the PC, too.
But (and I know these questions are annoying) I'm on a 2600k i7 with a GeForce 770 (and 16gig of RAM). Should that be enough? Looking to upgrade soon (to a GTX1080, hopefully) but not that soon! (this being a motoring forum, my cars get my money before my PC does! Haha)
Edit.
Steam says:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
Processor: Intel Core i3
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GTX 480, AMD Radeon 7870
Storage: 10 GB available space
So I think I should be good. But is that spec what the PS4 is roughly equal too?!

My starting planet. Rocky terrain with quite a lot of crevices and varied plantlife. Animals were friendly, sentinels were minimal.
I started in this big crater which was pretty cool, explored a lot of this planet before leaving:

This is my new ship (the preorder bonus) on the second or third planet I went to (actually a moon I think)
And this is where I left it last night, very barren planet, literally just a couple of outposts within walking distance and some Plutonium spikes for fuel.

I decided to make the most of my first planet and have spent hours exploring it, found most things it seems but says it is only 80% explored and that I am missing two waypoints. been looking for ages and keep finding more but they don't seem to be the ones it wants me to find to tick off the list.
Quite frustrating that it doesn't have a map. in real life we have maps of the moon and mars made from info gathered from probes so they should have them in a universe where we're all flying around in space ships and have space stations.
now I understand that they are undescovered planets and I'm not expecting it to provide a map on a platter but surely the game could allow you to produce a map as you are exploring, the games about discovery and surely explorers would plot and chart things down as they find them. At least that way you could see where there was a hole in the map you have produced and nudge you in the right direction.

Played another few hours last night.
Destroyed some pirates, learnt more of the alien language, found a big space station with a massive red odd in it and finally managed to save enough for a ship with 18 inventory slots (looks way cooler than my starting ship though)
I did discover something interesting though......
When you find the beacons on the planets select the option for finding shelter. When I have done this it takes you to a drop pod. There has always been a suit upgrade there. I have managed to increase my suit inventory by a couple of squares.
It seems to be a much better use of the beacon than the other options.

Started it last night, got lost in an enormous cave and found a pillar of gold at least 50ft high.
More inventory space would be great as I seem to have quite a few items that I don't want to sell as they're useful but equally I kind of need to in order to explore and gather more resources.

Think this looks fantastic I wasn't one of the people who had built up any misconceptions about what it was going to be, but from everything I've read so far I doubt that I will be disappointed.
As a software developer myself, I really appreciate just what they've been able to do here and how they've gone about it. Looking forward to seeing how things go on the PC, as I think games tend to have a bit more of a lifespan as people get let loose and start modifying things. Hopefully as indie type developers, they'll be open to even supporting this after some time.
Bought it on Steam last night, think it's about 6pm today it's released for PC. Is it home time yet? Arghhhhh.

Bit disappointing for the PC/Steam players that the PS4 guys have had it for days and we can't even d/l it yet.
It's a small indie studio, they just don't have the resources to do a dual launch. I'd rather they staggered them then it all falling over for everyone on day 1. If it was a big studio then I'd agree.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
