On the off chance anyone is looking for info about wheels, I have reviewed the G920 and Fanatec Clubsport: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/09/getting-to-g...
Useful, thanks. Been thinking about getting a new wheel with this release and the G920 looks like it'll do the job nicely

Cannot wait for Friday. Always had Playstations, and still do, but bought my first Xbox last year, so this is my first 'proper' Forza release (other than Horizon that is).

Ultimate edition players, if it's not too much trouble, could we have some more screenshots to whet the appetite?
thumbup

Cannot. Wait.

I can't believe I am asking this, but is the ultimate edition/early access really worth 80 quid.

I've got next week off and my brother is at school so I could nick his xbone, but some people are stating a release on Friday, so I am actually considering the expensive one to get some play in during the week.

The tight wad inside me says wait and get a physical copy + season pass for the good dlc cars, but the game does look amazing. Is it 80 quid amazing though?

You get the season pass, VIP and an extra car pack with the Ultimate Edition IIRC.

It is a pretty good game, if your into your Forza's I highey recommend it. If that excuse for a game called forza 5 won game of the year, then this should do it easily. its a very good and well polished game.

bks I was off today with dodgy belly. Bored sick person plus spare money = early access version plus G920 and stand on order for tomorrow (thanks for the heads up on the discounted wheel at PC world, that pretty much paid for my WheelStand (blokeanomics) smile

That said it's a great fun game so far. I like some of the additions (I pretty much didn't play F0rza 5 so not sure if they were in that) such as the prize spin and the rival challenges. I suck at them but they're a nice addition IMO.

I thought I read the developers saying that there was no DLC this edition (6)?

5 got boring due to lack of tracks and all the good cars being paid for extras.

So what's on the disc when you buy 6?

DLC will be 7 car packs. It's microtransactions that got the boot.

When's this out?!

The Internet tells me the 15th but the supermarkets seem to think 18th?

(tried to sneak a copy in before work this morning, but no one knew anything about it)

In exactly the same position as you! Don't fancy paying £80 for DLC I'll never used and googled it at work yesterday, it said it was out today but digging deeper it seems to actually be the 18th!

Aye just dug a little deeper, too.

I barely get my money out of std release never mind the £80 mega release. Suppose I can hang on until Friday.

Errrrrrrrgh.

I didn't intend on getting this a month ago... but the demo made me realise I am craving a track racer and this seems a big step up from 5.
So I've got the G920 on order, wheel stand and the game totalling £350. wobble

You get 26 tracks or "locations" and 450 cars with the standard game.

^ Surely that's not complete?

No Transit, Fiesta Xr2 or Lotus Cortina.. Or are they not in the standard edition?

Them 3 are definitly in the game, and I dont recall seeing them in any of the DLC packs(VIP/F&F Ten year etc) that were announced.
