I got word of crota last night too, its very handy for doing this weeks weekly too. Void burn ftw.Finally completed my first ever crota on hard last night.
Then got up to the deathsinger with 4 of us at a late point. Spent a while explaining the raid to my Mrs while she sat and crocheted, suppose I'm lucky hah.

I'm finally getting round to upgrading some lesser used weapons now. I can't believe how good light of the Abyss is.
Thunderlord, Super Good Advice, Dragon's breath, Plug one.1, Swordbreaker, invective are all on my list to do. Anyone think I should prioritise anything in particular?
Swordbreaker on the weekly was fun. You can actually stunlock the arcon priest with it but are at the total mercy of all the other enemies and if he recovers even slightly then he does his close range attack

Can only do Crota/nightfall etc once per week per character mate. So if you've already done it this week, you won't get any rewards.NewNameNeeded said:
I know, and I've already done it this week but I don't mind. Would prefer Scrota as I'm still new at that.
Ok cool, just making sure you know, as you said about rewards Yes Coin, Hard mode and Normal mode count individually. (Unless you do hard mode first, as you get double rewards all the way through!)
wuddie came out of retirement for a crack at flawless last night and I responded to the call!
As you'd expect we got as far as the jumping puzzle and then....... wuddie fell off!
Surprisingly I went first and made it first time!
Things to consider;
- you have to have most of the team comfortable with relic holding.
- we had non DLC guardians in at level 30. I know the damage dealt as a 30 vs 31/32 is levelled out but there is some advantage in damage taken as a higher level.
- supplicants still kill you in one of their suicide attacks
- it's not as tough as I thought and is certainly achievable with a bit of practise, we just had a few rusty guardians last night
Saying that though I'm sure I was only 24/25 the first time I got dragged through VOG NM but take out the places where you intentionally wipe and it becomes a lot tougher.
