Last HM I did, I was on boomers. Waiting in the crystal room after the 1st sword I took 90% health off the boomers through the door, from the back of the room. When we went out and the sword bearer started doing his stuff the boomers were an easy take down if they started on the SB. Their health didn't regen and keeping a bit of health obviously stops respawn.
Hit Boomers with a decent primary scout rifle and you will get their attention, it doesnt do enough damage to kill only maim.

Red death (Pulse Rifle)

Also has Heavy Ammo Synths
Destiny is still finding new ways to troll me - after 6 months with no sign of Red Death, I dropped two of the f'ing things the week before Xur sells it!

Destiny is still finding new ways to troll me - after 6 months with no sign of Red Death, I dropped two of the f'ing things the week before Xur sells it!
Nightfall has been particularly crappy this time around - 7 ascendant shards! Coupled with a single legendary engram last week which decrypted into a strange coin, cheers Destiny 
At least with the weekly you are guaranteed 9 strange coins (ok, some people have hundreds but I don't) which can at least be used for things. Ascendant shards are now worthless and you can't even swap them for something else either. I'm only holding on to them in case they suddenly become important again in the next DLC (unlikely as that is)

You and me both, dude. I bagged this last night from the Gorgon chest. 
Still, it has saved my coins. 
On a separate note, despite a NM and HM Crota completion last-night (well done Carbon on the HM sword-wielding... yet another sword-bearer in the clan!), still no Hunger of Crota. Just another raid helmet and energies.
I have 2 runs with one character and 1 HM with the last otherwise, I'm jacking this in.
Had a terrific week last week, and got crota hand cannon last night, so chuffed with that.

Pity you couldnt stick around Gazza think we finished him on the next attempt after you left.
I fancy a hard raid from the start now with this hunter to see if I can bag any more armour before the reset.

Sword Bearing on hard was really good fun. Smashing Crota then jumping off into a group of Thrall, I haven't panicked that much on a game since the days of Dead Space!!!
Managed to bag Suros & bought Red Death which means I only need 3 more exotic weapons for the full set so to speak.
The Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan Helmet) is definitely worth a purchase as you regenerate health from picking up orbs so very useful for Crota bashing.

so-so. I have it but rarely use it. The main perk is v good in PvP- radar stays active when aiming down the sights. As you've mentioned, try some engrams first. Mask of the Third Man is the best Hunter helm for both looks and the perk (orbs restore health). The Symbiote is a close second- extra shot of Golden Gun.

It's not that great, especially in comparison to the other two exotic helmets which I pretty much always prioritise over it.I'd say it's a "nice to have", rather than a "must have", but at this stage you must have coins to burn, so why not buy it anyway?!

I like the game reward structure for Raid, specific rewards for certain points of the game. That's my personal opinion anyway, I wouldn't want Xur to give away the items I really want, they're the only reason I keep playing.

I don't agree (he isn't giving them away for starters!) but I do understand where you're coming from. A compromise could be this- a new Xur currency- exotic coins?! To be earned in one way only:-
A weekly strike (nightmare fall!?
), which will always be 1 level above the level cap and which will award 1 single exotic coin. The catch is, death doesn't just send you to orbit, it ends the ability to play that strike for that week. 10 exotic coins to buy G-horn etc.
