Free upgrade? Awesome!

(Any catches? Do I have to have bought the game recently, or is it open to anyone who owns it?)

I bought this a couple weeks ago on the steam sale, not installed it yet.

Not sure when the best time to do it will be as I've seen everyone's massive number of hours logged!

Wouldn't mind getting a new graphics card too as still on an old 1050ti.

My 960 ran it fine, it's a 2015 game.

You can get addins for better textures etc though

Well, I have now logged 130 hours in my original save and 150 hours in my new game plus save. And last night, I spent an hour playing, for the first time, Warble of a Smitten Knight. Not sure how I missed it the first time but there you are. I think it's my favourite quest of the game so far (I know there are more in Touissant that I missed first time around).

I'm staggered that after nigh on 300 hours I'm still finding significant, brilliantly crafted, in depth content with great characters and dialogue and cool Game of Thrones references.

At the moment, this game is the number one reason why I would consider upgrading to PS5. I also have a decent gaming PC and I was considering buying it for that and modding it for my next playthrough.

More than a masterpiece. The greatest game ever made.

I'm just trying to level up sufficiently to wear the armour the woman made for me by wandering about picking up secondary quests. Then it's off for the final scrap (I think)...

I found that part really tough too, but if you can beat that then the rest of the game is more than doable.

Anyone know details of the upgrade service for next gen? I never got past the bloody baron purely for time reasons but will wait to play again if 9is a free upgrade.

Other than it is free and will be released next year, not much has been released about it.

It does work on next gen, due to backwards compatibility, there may be some visual improvements but I am not 100% sure about that. It does load bloody quickly on the Series X - https://twitter.com/_XboxNews/status/1323233214283...

This game can be had for £12.99 for PS4/xbox, and £7.99 for PC. (I have a PS4).

worth getting? Seems like a no brainer given the reviews. It's a type of game I'm very much into.

Buy it. smile I’ll say now that you’ll find the first 1-2 hours a slog while you get used to the controls and level up a bit to get some better kit, etc. When I first played it the first hour nearly put me off.

Push past that and you’ll find an amazing (and huge) game. It remains the only game I’ve paid money to buy DLC for, so I can spend more time in the world.

Its also on Game Pass for free.
I have it downloaded, but yet to dive into it.
I completed 99.9% of Skyrim on Xbox, how does it compare?
