GT5 Championship - season 8 - "fuel issues"
Discussion
To confirm, next week's combination will be the RUF RGT (standard car) at Spa, dry weather. I will finalise tyres/spec tonight.
Race 1 - a few apologies required. I appeared to suffer from network lag for the first 1/3, which made close racing awkward. This may partly explain a few incidents. Firstly, end of lap 2 or 3, exiting last turn, I got a good run on 2 green cars who were nose to tail, I went up the inside. There was a small bump as the three of us converged, unfortunately the net result was a green car on the grass and into the barriers. Deeply sorry, I probably should have been further over to the right had I the grip.
A while later had a really weird lag moment, where goodwood suddenly appeared from way behind me, effectively 'ramming' me through no fault of his own. That took out my rear brakes, and left goodwood paralysed. Not sure what I could have done differently there.
Thirdly - had an epic battle with drcooper, but ended badly. Once again, last turn, well to the inside, they moved over, seemingly aiming for the pit entry. At this point I realised I was going to end up forced into the pits, or the pit wall, so I stood on the brakes to let him by... this was badly timed, as when he moved across the front of the car there was contact and he spun across. I feel particularly guilty about this but it's hard to say what I could have done differently.
Still, some epic racing, despite my confusion over tyres, which would have maybe seen me ahead of darkdice instead of losing a great battle on the very last corner (it's that turn again...)
Race 2 - I had a massive shunt all on my own at Turn 1 chasing darkdice (again, that was fun!), I lost over a minute limping back to the pits with heavy damage, combined with a long run on hards due to the early stop -10hp and +110 kg, I was very happy not finish last.
So thanks all for some superb battles, and apologies for the incidents, there was no malice intended.

You can't really do anything about the lag Evo, it's just one of those things. It's frustrating though.
The ballast really hurt last night.
The RGT combo sounds great.
Can't agree more about the lag, it causes incidents through no fault of anyone. I got punted off with big damage a few races ago when a car several lengths back somehow jumped forward rammed me as I broke for a corner, then jumped back & carried on with no damage. Makes for a more exciting race :-DThe ballast really hurt last night.
The RGT combo sounds great.

That is fantastic!! It is great that something so joyously silly has taken off with such enthusiasm haha! This Sunday's combination:
RUF RGT '00 (standard)
Add:
Sports ECU
Sports Exhaust Manifold
Semi-Racing flywheel
(it already comes with sports exhaust, fixed sports suspension and a few other goodies)
Oil change/engine rebuild/chassis refresh
That should result in 424bhp / 1330kg / 515PP
14 laps of Spa-Francorchamps (no weather change) using Sports Hard and Sports Medium tyres.
Fuel/tyre wear rate is set to 'fast' (not 'very fast')
Enjoy!
