GT5 Championship - season 9 - "As you were gents"
Discussion
Good to have you back Ferry.
Was a good race, the ballast really stung me in the first one. I had a decent first lap but as soon as we got to a straight, Flip would reel me right in, and he ended up breezing past down the pit straight. I could keep with him easily enough but Old G did the same thing as Flip and then we engaged in battle, some pretty good driving to avoid each other! I eventually got back round him and managed to get away, but by that point I was too far behind Flip to catch him.
Second race was a bit more even with both of us carrying ballast, was pretty lonely in the end! I managed to make a gap before we pitted and then just tickled my way around for the rest of the race and popped out in front for the win. Yippee!
Was a good combo!
Here's the pick for next week, you are all going to love it.
Fiat Panda '90
Sports ECU
Intake mods
Sports cat, sports exhaust manifold (STANDARD EXHAUST)
Oil change, engine rebuild
Comfort medium and hard
Cape Ring full
It's a wild ride but everyone should be able to control it. It is a quite accurate representation of my current car so you can all pity me.

Are you serious?
How long is a lap? How long will the races be?
That's a fair point, ordinarily the 60-mile distance gives decent race lengths, but with the snail-like average speed of the Panda on a long circuit, each race could well be over an hour. Add in a lengthy qualifying session (10 mins might not be enough for two flying laps) I think we may have to trim the race length to say 45 or 50 miles to avoid it becoming tedious, or the event dragging on too long (I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to be up for work the next day!)How long is a lap? How long will the races be?
Norbs - can you give an estimate of race duration? I've not had time to test it out.
Old G, if you thought the finishes at Bathurst were close, then you should see this one from last year, it's a cracker.

Jeeeeeesus that looks like something that GW has dreamt up! Nice car control by the driver (dunno if it's Rex at the wheel, I guess it is!) If it was me behind the wheel then it would get very expensive very quickly...Hope you don't mind me sharing with the boys

That's my kind of track day .
You don't realise how lucky you all are, people are paying to risk their own cars - in real life - in conditions like those when I replicate them for you all for free.
I don't even get a thanks. Typical.
(Nice control though Rex!).

That is an awesome taste of a very slippery looking spa! Lotus looks to be trying to oversteer as often as it can, great set up clearly, superb stuff rex! :-DYou don't realise how lucky you all are, people are paying to risk their own cars - in real life - in conditions like those when I replicate them for you all for free.

And credit where it's due gw, you have indeed always delivered a thoroughly exciting choice * of car and conditions that is very true!
- ahem I must confess I was not too upset to have been disconnected from the zonda/spa/wet race ;-)
