PS4 GTA V Online
Discussion
I concur with Saiph - the forced split on Over The Hill is a real pinch point and could well be a problem, even unintentionally, with multiple cars.
Now, despite my best of 3:09.491 being set in a Carbonizzare, I still don't feel particularly confident round it in a Massacro. Going to have to do some more practising

I'm happy to remove the blue barriers where you have to turn right if people would prefer it? The checkpoints will still show the route obviously.
I'll give it a go tonight when I get online
Yeah I thought about that. The only problem then would be that the racing line for the right corner would be on the left, which is also the line for the cars going straight on so some cars would be breaking where others would be going flat out. I'll give it a go tonight when I get online

Tried a few races earlier.
Came last every time bar one, in which I finished second to last.
It's going to take me years to mod my cars.

I just joined the crew and need to get some races under my belt to unlock the car mods. I'd be up for some races over the weekend if there's room for a noob.
My psn tag is ZedLeg as well.
Just occurred to me, perhaps you two could get together and trade race wins on a really short circuit? My psn tag is ZedLeg as well.

I think if you opened it up where the blue barriers up it would be good.I'll give it a go tonight when I get online
If anyone makes a mistake at the barriers everyone behinds screwed, open it up then people can make mistakes without any impact on those behind.

Put my name down for the races vs the vccm guys.
Over the hill is a nice technical track with some tricky parts so I'm happy with that. I'm a little concerned with some of the one car wide parts though. The part where the track is forcibly split with the blue barriers is going to be nasty if someone shunts you down the wrong side, you are going to lose a lot of time correcting that. I think as dj suggested we need to try it with a decent number of us on. Its going to take some good racing etiquette and some politeness to make it work. If we are racing against other crews we need to get into the habbit of stopping if we take someone out.
Eased, are we sticking with the same car for the whole 5 race series? Over the hill has some interesting options for the B spec race with some cars coming out well that might not on other tracks. The massacro is a pretty clear winner for the A spec.
Could I also put another race in the hat for our second choice: 24hrs du Grain Raisin. This is a lovely track with a few tricky corners but generally fast. The reason I'm suggesting it here is that it makes great use of lighting props to illuminate the track during the night and has a pit lane which you lose no time in using.

Also if you pick gt2's it 'might' be easier to get wins?

pfft I dont need easy wins! Also if you pick gt2's it 'might' be easier to get wins?
i will race gt2 , but don't see me scoring any/many points

lol thats fine. I am tempted by gt2 as there is a wider choice of car I think. I am getting 3:04's in the massacro at the moment but think I can do better than that.
You mentioned teams, is that teams of two again? How will that work?
teams of 2 , 1 gt1 and the other driver in a gt2.You mentioned teams, is that teams of two again? How will that work?
at the end of the series we have best gt1/gt2 driver, best team and pistonheads v vccm

Just talking with welly re the gt2 class.egor110 said:
Re the next race against vccm here's what we're looking at.
GT1- elegy,massacro,jester (race or stock)
GT2- every other sports car
Fancy teaming up jobbo? I'm happy to go for gt2 if these are the categoriesGT1- elegy, massacro, jester (race or stock)
GT2- every other sports car
Is the sultan too quick for gt2 ( bear in mind it held it's own with the massacro's during the endurance race)
Is the gt2 class to big, maybe reduce it to banshee, carbonazaire, alpha, coquette which are all evenly matched yet a big step down from the gt1's
Looking at getting everyone online at 9.30 ready to race at 10 om race nights.

Yep, sounds good. I'd like to use my Carbo in GT2 but don't want to change the colour or alloys so I might buy another specifically for racing.Happy to be in GT1 for the outright glory (or failure!) though.

Dirty trick for you two - if you do Rally Races, both of you get the win towards your unlocks, so if both of you do a 1-lap rally race around the prison, it'll count as a win for both of you rather than having to keep restarting.I'll be on most of the day and maybe later on at night if you're around justanother5tar.
As for the GT2 idea, I agree with that. The Sultan is too capable. I think Red Rum use a 5-level series. This is how I remember it, before the Kuruma was added. Something from the GT4 category would make a bigger split.
GT1: Elegy, Massacro, Jester, Feltzer
GT2: 9F, Surano, Comet, Sultan
GT3: Carbonizarre, Banshee, Alpha, Coquette,
GT4: Khameleon, Furore GT, Rapid GT, Fusillade
Track Day Enthusiasts: Buffalo, Futo, Penumbra, Schwarzer

It'll be as/when I can get on, I might squeeze an hour or two tomorrow night. Don't get much time on it through the week, up at 6am. I'm a weekend warrior.
To save you looking it up, my tag is BornSpecialXx.
