I was out flying around last night, to the north there are 2 small volcanoes and 2 small oil geysers. also the land is flairly flat. to the east (past riks volcano) its gets a bit hilly and further on snowy!
so, i can be online Thurs evening (GF is working a late shift) so i can start a path and flattening, torching up the northern area, If everyone else is happy with the location?

Robb you're right next to spawn there afaik so not far away at all! The spawn point is in the forest that's off the back corner of your house where your chests are.@ Dave, 2p fwiw, I would say that the "factory" building(s) is/are better in that location than elsewhere. The flat ground on the coastline round to the community base is ripe for it once some of the trees are removed. It'd be nice to keep the natural terrain too rather than making one huge flat area by removing the ondulations - I made that mistake on the vanilla server and it really does look w
k. You can spread most reasonable sized buildings across a few layers and build the exterior to suit the terrain and then make a level interior floor if you really need one, or layer it inside too with a few stairs placed in strategic places.Robb F said:

yup it moves in 4 directions, sadly it does not rotate though. could techinically make it move up and down too and make it look like a hot air baloon, but it is beyonf my level of expertise for the moment Does it rotate?

It also isn't very fast, but hey i have a little jetski dispenser (wooden boats in a chest) for when i want to jump in and nip down to the supermarket

Which server? Mine is suspended as the world corrupted. The account is in credit and will be carried forward to when people want to play on it again with a new world but I think we're all playing on Yev's Tekkit server atm.'Failed to connect to the server'

.Yev, disaster in the factory again. The ACT2s had stopped producing and I found some silicon wafers in the ACT2 that was making the ACT2s and no filters in there. Filters ACT2 was full of silicon wafers too, but no blue dope. Also had a bunch of RS and PN pipes in it too, which it shouldn't have. No idea how to sort it out. Seems to be something to do with the paint brushing the pipes. You've got the same colours going on in different areas and I think that works okay when the destination chests have space in them, but when they fill up it sends them down the pipes to the next destination with the same colour. Hope that makes sense.
The industrial dungeon is coming on nicely now. Thanks for the tutorial Yev and Rik. I am going to get building some of my own stuff now till I've got the hang of it. It makes building stuff so much easier now

lolAdded a storage capacity upgrade maker. we have thousands of overclockers already. Reading the wiki it's teh stroage that is required to add more overclockers. but having experimented with 4 storage upgrades per machine it only allows 4-5 more overclockers, wich frankly do not add that much performance for the extra energy draw. so settled on 10 OC and 4 strage upgrades per machine with input and output chests and am happy with that.
. Within a range to around Tom's place there's a radioactive 'clicking' that happens every 10-20 seconds. Once you get further out of range it stops. WTF, we're all gonna die from radiation poisoning! 
I've got a HV solar array factory going at my castle on one of the basement floors. Help yourselves but please leave a sign saying how many you've taken so i can get an idea of production numbers. We'll all be teleporting everywhere soon
