It makes very little difference to the weapon whether you upgrade it or not but, no - you cannot say you have a nechrocasm yet so, get grinding
I actually logged into Destiny today, just to run some bounties and get my eye in again (feels very weird after Borderlands!) Felt weird but good, like putting on a comfy pair of favourite slippers...

The only exotics I've got left to upgrade are Hard Light and NLB.
I've had lots of fun the last couple of weeks. Did some raids with a couple of first timers, and IB was a good laugh.
Did a 4 man VoG HM last night, first time in a while, took us far longer than it should have, but I got a Gjallarhorn from the Templar chest and a Vex Mythoclast from Atheon, would have been a monumental run if it wasn't my 3rd jelly and 2nd vex! Still, just need one more vex now and all my characters have the weapons I use most.

Why not just jump in at start of Crota? Unlimited thrawl so no return to orbit. The only exotics I've got left to upgrade are Hard Light and NLB.

The scout rifle would be vision of confluence, arguably one of the best guns in the game.
Fatebringer is so last week

I tend to use either Woken Hive or Warmind for my Thrall requirements. Might try Abyss next time.Yesterday I did:
3.5 NFs
1 Weekly
3 hm VoG (1 full and 2 Templar onwards)
1 hm Crota
1 nm Crota
What a saddo!!

I don't know where you find the motivation. Even at my peak of Destiny enthusiasm, I wouldn't have done all that in a day!!Yesterday I did:

On average, I don't work a particularly long week and I've been really lazy recently with my hobbies. My car's been in the garage a few times for different things so I've been loafing around at home playing Destiny. I'm getting active again from next week (gym, dogs etc) so that should cut my play time down to something a bit more healthy.

Ah so you do have a dog....Thought that was the missus you were shouting at last night lol

Dropped another Giggyhorn last night on Nightfall with Carbon.
To be honest mate, you may as well just tell us when you don't have one drop for you - it would save you having to post so often Ran a couple of Nightfalls and got the same FWC hand cannon, The Chance. One seems decent with explosive rounds and outlaw perks and good impact, sort of a low rent fatebringer without arc damage and only 6 in the mag (which seems fine with outlaw tbh). Second one had worse perks so was sharded (energied?)
The Prison of Elders does look like it'll be very good fun, I just can't see myself putting in the same level of commitment to grind for gear this time around. Project cars is out this week which will take up a good chunk of my PS4 time, with Destiny taking a bit of a back seat I suspect. In some ways, I think it'll work better for me that it only requires a 3 man fireteam as finding people won't take so much co-ordination if I just want to pop in and play.
Just watched a bit of the Prison of Elders Twitch stream from last night and it does look a bit hectic. They were all rocking 365 attack gear (FB, Ghorn, etc) and level 34 light and it seemed like they were still having a hard time of it on the level 34 Urrox challenge.
The level 28 version looks a bit like the daily heroic story mission does today, similar rewards except you can run it over and over if you wanted to grind out those Vanguard marks (or perhaps they will only be given out once a day?). The level 32, 34 and 35 challenges can only be run once a week apparently, well I assume that means you'll only get the rewards once a week like other things in Destiny.
My initial concern though is how long is it going to take to get through one of these challenges? 3 waves of enemies per round and 5 rounds per game, that's a lot to get through given that there are no checkpoints (rightly so). What happens if you all happen to wipe (which will happen)? Do you start again at the beginning of the current round or are you back to round 1? If it's the latter, that will get old fast.
Apologies if this was all explained later in the feed, I didn't have time to watch all 90 mins of it.
Looks like you are guaranteed this Etheric Light if you get through it all rather than it being a random reward which is a good thing!

I watched the Planet Destiny video and he said they cleared the level 32 game in about 45 minutes. The higher levels will obviously take longer but, so did both raids when we first attempted them. I think if you wipe, you restart that particular room, not the whole thing (which would suck!) which makes sense as each room is basically a checkpoint and gives you unique rewards.Speckle said:

So, no finish, no gear.
