So are we starting this on the 29th, or the 5th? Because I voted for a two-week break, meaning the 5th, but I don't recall what the majority went for.
Between testing time and some very inconvenient exams, the 5th would suit me much better, but obviously it depends what everyone prefers.

Colin, I was quite ill TBH, on the mend though so it's all good, and a long weekend to get back to the normal routine of testing like crazy before Wednesday.
It's quite nice to have Monte Carlo in this season, particularly with it being the next F1 round in close duration (you planned that though, didn't yee).
Tyre wear at 500PP is a bit more apparent after less laps, so that'll make this season interesting (and the possibility of having to pit for fresh rubber - it's like running Pirelli's... ).
good to hear that your feeling better now and as for monaco being the first race i didnt make it coincide with F1. The reason why it is the first race was that i wanted a good track to kick off the season and ended up picking monaco It's quite nice to have Monte Carlo in this season, particularly with it being the next F1 round in close duration (you planned that though, didn't yee).

The tyre wear/strategies will be more of a factor this season than previously as you will have to look after your tyres well becauses theres no mandatory pitstops anymore so if you can get the most out of your tyres it could work out well for positions.

Well I think I have finally picked my 3 cars after extensive (LOL) testing.
Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2007 (Hatchback)
BMW 330i 2005 (Saloon)
Toyota Caldina GT-Four 2002 (Estate)
All in Bayside Blue.
The first 2 are there to stay but I'm still debating the Caldina so that might go, it might now, I'll keep you all in suspense
first 2 i know are good but never tried the caldina so cant comment Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2007 (Hatchback)

Season 3 was a minimum of 2 race meets per car, 10 race season. So your favourite car could compete in up to 6 venues if you wanted. Two drivers had a GTR in their lineup, CJ was one, and I don't think either GTR did more than the minimum two races.
EDIT: I guess that means noone who had selected one was keen to race it any more than they had to.
the other person who chose the R35 GTR didnt do many races and i think i done 3 races in it with the camaro having 4 iirc. was a good car although at random times it decided it liked the walls which baffled me as it was a very grippy car most of the timeEDIT: I guess that means noone who had selected one was keen to race it any more than they had to.

Ooooh yes they were R35s not R34s. I don't know my Rs from my elbow. I thought you only did Cape Ring and Nurb in yours?

Had the first real practice yesterday in Monaco. That's a tricky circuit to get right, but after the racing I had a few laps when there were only 3 of us left and got the Elise down to a repeatable 1:42.3 except the bloody thing keeps wanting to spin. Overtaking will be a nightmare but that's half the fun of Monaco and I bet the stewards will have a long hard review aterwards!
PS colin, late braking up the inside will be closely watched! I'm personally using the Perez school of lunging and the when someone does it to me, the Kimi system.
