Just had a first go a Imola, can't even get below 2:16 in the GT40, add to that the fact that I spent half the time in the gravel, and it's not looking good for me tonight!

Im finding this track almost impossible

Cant seem to stay on track for a single lap, let alone for several in a row.

Managed a lap of 2.10 in the pantera (thanks for uploading your lap FWD, helped me allot)
But that was the only lap in 15 or so when I didnt spin or crash.

I think ill be trying the gtc65 class with the lotus tonight as the faster cars are way beyond my ability.

I suppose I better send my paypal in hadnt I

you could replicate it in GTL too. And we could all practice loads in the GT40 in GTL and then go to donington where you'd all let us have a go to see if we can beat our real world laptime. I know you'd do that, you're such a generous and trusting chap.

Lets do it!

I will be doing some track days in whatever I decide on (will be of that era) fellow GTLers are more than welcome to come along for some fun (except Diver of course )

Whent to look at the GT40 today, but the one in the advert is SOLD I think there is another available in the same Gulf colours though

In the flesh it is absolutely stunning, all be it through the window as he was closed much to shiney, needs some 24hr racing dirt for full effect

will keep posting if your interested..........

thanks for the link FWD, car is in Europe somewhere though and I just dont have the time at the moment to hunt that far but thanks anyway

will see you all tonight at Imola and of course, I'll be in the GT40

That's no problem, I'll book on to the same trackday and get a good view of your Ford in my mirror.

When your passengers get bored being lapped by everyone they can have a ride in my Turbocharged Teutonic engineering marvel

Did you manage to get the passenger trailor then?

& I thought you were having probs with getting through the noise testing or was it the moustache regulations that stopped you getting on track

After those two pictures I don't think Mrs Diver will let me come out to play with you boys anymore

PVA - I'll never forgive you but that has to be one of the best laffs you've ever given me (the Porsche decals were a very nice touch).

I'll just have to make you pay at Imola now (I can 'nearly' lap 2:08 at a regular race pace now)

Not too slow as long as you keep going, I will be in those times quite a lot for a guess, especially after spinning

Cya all later, and I'm going on for practice now

Well that was rather annoying.

I did a reasonable job in qualy but come the start of the race, I typed "good luck everybody" and then clicked the button that takes you to the grid. Except it took me to variante alta, I was parked across the track at it, it also said I was in P-1 out of 18. SO I quiited to the menu and clicked the button again and ended up back the same place. I was typing stuff but nobody answered. I did a few laps and my lap counter didn't go up. So I hit escape. and then I could still click that "go to grid" button. So I did, and it took me to the same place at variante alta. and then I got hit by an Elan (sorry!). I then drove round a bit (i caught and "passed" dobbo) but I didn't really know if other people could see me and as I was still on "lap 1" I just quit.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I could have won that race outright maybe.

Mike, as far as we were all concerned, your car was stuck on the grid and never moved Didn't see you type either.
