Good old Bungie. Not content with taking down the servers for 6 hours on Monday for maintenance, they are at it again this evening too. From Twitter:
@BungieHelp
Players will be disconnected from Destiny for planned maintenance at 10am PDT on Wednesday, June 24th.
Length of downtime unspecified, so it could just be a quick "bounce" of services I suppose

That must be one of the easiest Nightfalls in ages. Did three runs and only took around seven or eight minutes each, and thats including the time it took the group to swap out gear, swap characters, re-join fireteam and hit it again. Vision of Confluence, even at 300 attack, was just a monster, having high rate of fire, a large mag and of course, Scout rifle range, Black hammer melted the tank and even Valus Tauurc, so often a thorn in our side with his ridiculous pool of hitpoints, was melted in less than five seconds with three Solar Burn enhanced Gjallarhorns hitting him.
As an added bonus, I got three new exotics as well; The Eternal Warrior on Titan (which I did already have, but this had far superior stat roll), The Ram for my Warlock, and the Bones of Eao for the Hunter. Both of those were two of my most wanted - quad jumping hunter? Yes please. Warlock able to survive Shoulder Charge or even Golden Gun in PvP? Too bloody right.
Very happy with that haul.

Looks like I didn't miss all that much if the servers were down for a while last night.
Baby Titan now up to level 31 and, is upgradable to level 34 once everything is upgraded (although, I don't have any plasteel plating at the moment!) BUT, I don't have any boots with extra heavy ammo perk so need to do a Crota and a VoG run this weekend if anyone is interested. Also a nightfall left to run and of course a whole bunch of Prisons at various difficulties.

Well, I ventured into the Crucible yesterday evening just for a quick blast with my new shiny, nearly fully upgraded Thorn expecting big things. Erm no, not exactly. It didn't help that it was gone 11pm and some drinks may have been consumed but I got battered in the first match at least, with a k/d of just 0.25 The next two were better when I calmed down and stopped running around like a lunatic on speed and the ratio improved to 1.2 - 1.3, not exactly great but better
I discovered a new map that I hadn't seen before which only added to the headless chicken factor
I was also trying out my tracking Admonisher III launcher - it works, sort of - but it's definitely more of a PvE launcher as the tracking simply isn't quick enough and people can and were dodging the rockets. I almost never missed with Truth so it looks as though I need to find and roll a good PvP launcher. It's nice to have an arc damage launcher though.
Got another auto rifle as a "reward" - I think that's 3 or 4 in not all that many matches
I'll be in there again for sure as I'm finding it fun to play win or lose and a nice distraction from bounties, missions, etc and I absolutely need to "get good" with Thorn - it's not the gun, it's most definitely the incompetent who is wielding it
Hawkmoon on the other hand - now that does hit hard. Been one shotted by that on more than one occasion, so now I "need" one of those too
Congrats Matty on the big Gjally find

It's great! Some will not be pleased to hear that it was only my second go at a nightfall... So a bit lucky in that respect.
The Hawkmoon is brilliant PvP, I general I can 2 shot everyone with headshots but it also has a perk that adds up to 3 bullets giving extra damage which can result in the 1 shot kill, it is my preferred PvP tool.

Launchers for PvP in order:-
Truth
Tomorrow's Answer
The Ash Factory (with the right roll)
Radeghast's Fury (ditto... but an Iron Banner drop only).
As for Thorn, continual use, even in PvE will help tremendously. Hawkmoon is a different league. It requires more time to master (as it needs headshots). As some doofus that we play with would say:
"get gud"
I'll be on tonight to take to level 20 and then who knows after that.

Having just looked at the app, I've got:-
An Insurmountable Skullfort
Commando Custom
No Back-up Plans
The Armamentarium
Spearhead Type 0
Crest of Alpha Lupi
Immanent War Greaves (FWC Boots)
Helm of Saint-14
I have enough clobber to get to 34 when upgraded. I would like CE boots for the additional rockets though.

Nice one! I also need heavy ammo boots so, happy to do a Crota/VoG run with you at some point this weekend. An Insurmountable Skullfort

We should blast through HM in >30 mins. Even as a three. I'll focus on getting the Titan to at least level 32 beforehand. I reckon the kit I have, even though it is a mish-mash, will get me to 32.
How times change.
Mind you, we can get boots from normal Crota, unless you want any of the primary weapons?

If you can get 3 34's, it will be a breeze, i'll be around at the weekend if you need help, I'll be looking to do a 35 aswell at somepoint, if we can get numbers!! that is.
I'm definitely up for a 35, and Singh has absolutely promised on his honour that he will join us (well, something like that anyway )Just occurred to me - don't we need to do the Dark Below missions to open up the raid? I've done the first one already so, that shouldn't take long.
I'm sure we can coax in a few of the regular protagonists (unless ToO of course). I'm interested in NM Crota for a shot at Hunger of C / Deathsinger "chest". HM Crota for a chance at Word of C / Fang of Ir Yut, plus any additional Crota completion handouts. And shards / energies / armour or duplicate guns to shard, I still need a few of either of those to level things up.
But yeah, I think you need to have done the missions beforehand, all 3 or 4 of them? Can't remember now.
