Your armour might be relevant, but your level isn't in regular Crucible. You should be on a relatively level playing field in that regard, but I'm no Crucible expert by any means.I'll give it another go once I've levelled up a bit.

True, but you can do good work in there with basic stuff, you need to look at the perks. Rewards will be tied to your current level thoughIf you're not a fan of PvP though, you might be better off working through the story but Crucible is a quick way of levelling

Anyway, another week, another three HM Crotas and still no Crux. I know Necrochasm is garbage, but I need it for the collection and the stupid game just won't drop it. On a positive note, thanks for the assistance gents, as always, it was a blast, and it was nice to see Moog get both Word and Fang during those runs, neither of which he had.

Had a rough time at Crota last night. Took about 1.5 hours to do 3 Crota CPs
Got boomered a few times even though a bubble was up, getting whacked whilst invisible, Crota always at the farthest point of the platform. Amongst all that, the resounding reason it took so long was because.........I suck!! It was like doing HM as 32's again, I just couldn't get into the swing.

Good week for collectors - Xur has the new titan helmet (Eternal Warrior) and Warlock Robes (Purifier Robes).
He also has Plan C, helmet engrams and Crest of Alpha Lupi for Hunters.
He's in the bar down by the hanger.
I now just need Eao's Bones (Hunter boots) to complete the exotic armour, but the only way to get them is in a random drop or if Xur sells them. Both are pretty unlikely.

Yep, pretty darn chuffed to get both of those as I now have a void primary for the first time and for once, I have enough energies / shards to get them both fully upgraded too (as well as my duplicate Blackhammer). I like scout rifles, so having an arc one of those is a bonus. As an aside, It also means that I have every HM Crota gun nowCrappy RNG luck that you still haven't managed to secure a Crux though given how many times you've run it

I'm almost in the same boat Youngsy, all I'm missing armour wise is the Celestial Nighthawk! I've had Eternal Warrior and Purifier robes drop twice already from PoE chest. He also has Plan C, helmet engrams and Crest of Alpha Lupi for Hunters.

I did get a good roll on my Purifier Robes though, and Xur is notoriously hit and miss on his stat rolls so I think mine will still be fractionally superior to those currently being sold.
Moog, congrats again on getting those drops - having a primary weapon of each element does make Nightfalls much easier, and also helps in PoE as well. yes, it's a bummer that Crux still hasn't dropped, but I'll keep hitting Crota until it does.

You do have to shoot those "damn oracle thingys" as if you don't, they are the things that are taking you down. They take a lot of fire though but the Vestian sidearm that you will have at that point does a pretty good job. I think there are 4 or 5 in that level and they appear from left to right as to look at it from where you drop in. Ignore most of the other enemies and just concentrate on the oracles, then mop everything else up afterwards.

I'll add you later on, you'd probably need to be level 20 to access most of the dlc stuff I think. There are 5 golden chests on each map, if you find them/ YouTube the locations early enough in the game the gear in them may help a little.The expansions are cheaper on PSN just now. Is there anything it adds to the game I could take advantage of at low level or would I be as well to wait until I'm further through the basic game?

Yeah that'd be cool. Simian gave me a hand for a bit last night. I had a pretty productive day all in all. Finished by running through the strike at the cosmodrome without dying for a bounty, which tipped me over to level 15 so I've got the other subclass now.More than happy to help you on lower levels if you need the help or carry you through a higher level activity to try and get some rewards out of it
Was talking about guns last night and I may start keeping a couple of different types to change my load out on the fly. I've just been dismantling everything I'm not using so far.
I managed to complete the Moments of triumph this morning by rounding up my last three golden chests. Needless to say, the loot was pretty much garbage at this stage of the game and whilst an emblem at some point in the near-future isn't really much more of an incentive, it would still have been silly not make the effort given how close to achieving it I was.
I did manage to get another Super Good Advice bounty during the process as well, which took all of twenty minutes to finish, so that's another exotic shard for the collection. Shards aren't the problem at the moment, weapon parts are. Doing most upgrades on exotic weapons takes 25 weapon parts. Not a lot, no, but do four or five in quick succession and your stockpile of five hundred weapon parts has a sizeable dent in it. I'm hovering precariously around the 100 weapon parts at the moment, not something I thought was possible pre HoW!
