I'm back in the game.

Cabinet was connected this morning so will be getting a connection boost from 2MB/s to about 17/18 in the next few days, that's massive for us sheep botherers.

Have ordered TTK and will download the patch over the next couple of days.

I've not really kept up to date with the latest developments so will be coming back blind.

Also, have heard some of the samples of the new dinklebot.... I think it might actually be worse!

He is ok but is creepy on winters rub strike when he says "you think they will mind if we take their pikes" he says it in a hush time like something a child abducter would say it like.

It's weird how they didn't manage to make the voice demonstrably better, as it seemed quite a low bar to beat.

Also - a bit of bad news for Phil and a warning to others - when you complete those sub-class quests you're meant to get an emblem as well as the class item....but they're not dropping - and bungie notes have said they can't award them retrospectively.

So currently the only way to get them, if you're crazy enough, is to delete your character and start again!

Hopefully internet shouting will mean Bungie changes it or fixes it in a few weeks.

You can complete the quests from next week onwards and you WILL get the emblems...

Anyone want/need nightfalls tonight - I want to do a couple to make sure I can get the gunsmith up to rank 1 on a couple of my chars.

After that I'm up for anything - including holding on to Glenda's pocket...

Also had a complete disaster on crucible.

Jimmy, not sure if it still works out but Simply Games had the Legendary addition (Destiny with all the expansions and TTK) for about £36 a few days ago, was cheaper than buying it on the store.

The nightfall bonus applies to the rep you earn. There are 5 guns that give 250 rep each and the limit to reach level 1 with him is 1500.

So with nightfall bonus you can make 1560, but only 1250 without.

Means you'll definitely be rank 1 next week. He might have more guns on Tuesday, in which case it will be easy to rank up, and you may not be able to order weapons until next Wednesday onwards in which case it won't matter. I'm just aiming to do it in case it does matter.

The new weapons look really cool (except the launcher) and work ok. The radar perk on the pulse rifle is handy out in the wild and may be good for PvP.

Had a play with the pulse rifle, quite liked it.

Have to say that I miss Dinklage's Ghost voice.

I preferred it to this new slightly chipper one. I thought he did it well.

7 orbs -

Start septic prime, go to the top right hand corner of the map, you get 2 ultra vandals and 2 normal (3 orbs for each ultra and 1 for the normal) rinse and repeat until you have the 21 orbs - then finish the strike as normal. simples......

For those asking about engrams and saving them to when the Taken King drops:

Engrams that are picked up pre-DLC will always turn into that relevant DLC items. So if you collect engrams now, they will turn into House of Wolves DLC gear and NOT Taken King items. They will however rank up your cryptarch and allow you to get legendary packages and marks.
